When: September 25, Late Evening
Where: The docks
What: The Minions Attacking
Warnings: Possible death, violence and cursing, so PG-13. Remember, if you die, you will resurrected by The Rulers and shackled. If you are injured, you will be immediately shackled and grouped with the others. We will be posting to this log as [personal profile] minions.

While the minions kept stealing items, it didn’t seem like that stopped the denizens from doing what they wanted to. This did not please the Rulers, no, not one bit! So, as the boat took off, the Emperor took the literal wind away from the sails, making the ocean a still as could be. There is a long moment of complete silence; no trees ruffling in the wind, no leaves rolling down the cobblestone streets of the districts, nothing.

At the beach, the minions begin to appear, giggling oddly and looking at the boat with malicious grins. Some of them are carrying weapons, some of them with glowing hands that signify magic. Behind them are Justice and Judgment, looking grim as they signal the attack. The minions begin their attack, either with weapons or magic, aiming directly for the boat and the passengers.

Good luck, denizens.

This was much more Alanna's style than getting on the boat. Much as she wanted to join the party on the boat, she was practical enough to know that any trip across a body of water would leave her seasick... and without a sword or her magic, she would have been worse than useless. Better to stand guard, much as it itched at her, irritated the place where she had a drive for heroic deeds.

She wasn't the most proficient with a spear, but it was the weapon she had at hand, and she at least had a vague idea of what to do with it. If it came to it, Alanna could try to disarm an opponent with a sword. She watched the minions with narrowed purple eyes, settling into the all-too-familiar fighter's stance, keeping the shaft of the spear in front of her.

Someone else might have let out a war-cry as she launched into battle, but not Alanna. Alanna simply charged the first magic-using minion she could find, bringing the spear down in an attempt to slash the mage.

This would work so much better with a sword.

There's a whole crowd of minions carrying various weaponry just storming past Alanna, apparently pursuing an unarmed man - despite his weaponless state, he doesn't seem at all worried about the horde of minions. It quickly becomes clear why - he's just as deadly without a weapon as he is with one. But it seems that this man doesn't care much for swords or hammers, because when he does pick up a sword that a dead minion (spine broken, face smashed in) had been carrying, he looks around quickly, and--

Ah, Alanna, you may want to take the sword that he's just thrown near you (perhaps after you finish slaughtering that mage). It would certainly be easier to wield than that spear. That done, he darts away again, leading the mnions on a merry chase across the beach.

The minions began to charge at her as well, smiling at the other with a grin and a giggle. They wanted to end this quickly, and it was honestly taking far too long for them to capture the others. They didn't want to both with this much longer, and the boat just had to go. Given that, they are far more harsher now and a little more serious. At first they were playing, but now, they didn't want to deal with it.

Alanna dropped the spear with due haste, ducking to grab for the sword. There was no urge to give something like a victory shout, just the cold reality of battle.

Defending gained no ground in battle, and Alanna fought like she believed every word of that statement, a whirling ball of aggression with a blade on the end. This was what she was meant for, whatever the place. She was meant to fight.

If the minions thought they would have an easy time getting the tiny 'boy' out of the way, now that Alanna had a sword, they had another thing coming.
