[EVENT] Battle Log One

What: The Minions Attacking
Warnings: Possible death, violence and cursing, so PG-13. Remember, if you die, you will resurrected by The Rulers and shackled. If you are injured, you will be immediately shackled and grouped with the others. We will be posting to this log as minions.


While the minions kept stealing items, it didn’t seem like that stopped the denizens from doing what they wanted to. This did not please the Rulers, no, not one bit! So, as the boat took off, the Emperor took the literal wind away from the sails, making the ocean a still as could be. There is a long moment of complete silence; no trees ruffling in the wind, no leaves rolling down the cobblestone streets of the districts, nothing.

At the beach, the minions begin to appear, giggling oddly and looking at the boat with malicious grins. Some of them are carrying weapons, some of them with glowing hands that signify magic. Behind them are Justice and Judgment, looking grim as they signal the attack. The minions begin their attack, either with weapons or magic, aiming directly for the boat and the passengers.

Good luck, denizens.

Some minions fell, but Judgement resurrected them, and the magicians started over, attempting to slow him down. It wasn't completely expected, but they knew exactly what they were up against. It was hard for the magician's to avoid the breath, so they had to double their efforts and get the swordsminions under the pit, maybe to injure him.

Judgement watched, carefully.

Well, that changed things. If they'd be resurrected as soon as they fell, then targeting any of the minions would just amount to a war of attrition as the magic-users wore him down while the swordsminions tried to arrange a Siegfried setup, and unfortunately for Spade, he doesn't realize that the figure that seems to be leading and resurrecting the fallen is a Ruler.

And from what he knew (and what information he was lacking), this clearly called for a change in tactics -

And turning his focus from getting at the mages, to turning to charge after Judgement, going around any pits, dips, or other depressions that might be in his path.

Judgement didn't spare him much of a glance now, almost rolling her eyes. Snapping, a group of giant basins appeared above Spade, dumping magical water on him that would negate all abilities from the denizen's items or the denizen itself. Spade would turn back into a man, and when he did, Judgement landed before him and tided him up with black chains, looking down to him. Her sister, she could sense, did the same with the other man who was causing a riot as well.

Judgement however, said nothing as she looked at him expectantly, as if waiting for him to give her a reason not to hurt him. A judge had to be fair, after all.

That ... had failed, quite spectacularly; he'd think about trying to slip the chains somehow when the one responsible wasn't looming over him. It wasn't entirely surprising that they had a way to cancel out what they'd handed people, but if she was expecting some sense of repentance, she'd caught the wrong person; his response was more of a sullen glare of defiance.

"If you want guilt for this, find someone else."

Maybe in a different situation, he'd have tried to pull currying favor in the name of knifing them in the back later, but between the last few days and his continual efforts to salvage his battered pride, he didn't particularly care - besides, if they knew ANYTHING about who they'd taken, they'd have to be a special sort of moronic to expect a Vongola to roll over that easily.

Judgement said nothing, watching him, even though her eyes were blindfolded. Kneeling down, she tightened the chains around Spade, making sure to squeeze just enough to be painful, but not break anything. She wasn't looking for someone to be guilty, that blond man was at fault for that, that was for sure. No, she wanted to punish someone, and this man seemed to be a perfectly good choice.

Reaching up to his face, she grabbed him with one hand, holding his chin up tightly, grinning a rather evil grin.

"Judgement." She said to him, then snapped. This made a minion come up and stab him in the back, right at the shoulder blade. It was enough to make him bleed and not be a threat anymore.

That did succeed at getting a cut-off cry of pain - one that dropped into hissing and fuming.

It was also enough to piss him off, and leave him struggling between self-control and the desire to try to stay as intact as possible for when he had an opportunity to act, and bitchy defiance and the urge to make her life as difficult as possible.

Between everything piling up, pain, and this new insult, self control was a resource he was running low on, and there was as much of an attempt at a struggle as he could manage for a few seconds.

AFter which he was going to resort to being a sullen unmoving lump.

The minions giggled loudly, starting to drag him off as Justice gave him a crazy, wicked smile, wide and rather toothy. It was just as well, they would have to get these people captured before they caused too much trouble.

It may not be the best idea.

But Spade is still pissy.
