Who: America and anyone up for a bite
When: Day 82 noon
Where: The park in the north, closer to the ocean
What: Believing that food can cheer anyone up after the failed escape plan and nightmare imprisonment, America grills up some burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings and veggie skewers for anyone who's passing by.

On such a gorgeous autumn day, who wouldn't want to spend it outside with good eats and warm sunshine? It had taken up a lot of time to 'imagine' up a few ice chests filled with ready-to-grill meat, but America had put all his energy into making sure it was the most ~*awesome*~ barbeque.

If anyone happens to pass by, they'll see him whistling a random, catchy tune while flipping a few patties. If his gaudy 'I ♥ NY' apron didn't catch their eye, the wonderful aroma of fresh burgers might turn their heads. If anyone comes close enough, America greets them with a bright grin.

"Hey there, pal! You're just in time! Grab a plate and knock yourself out!" He thumbs toward the table he set up with patties piled high, dressing, and condiments.

[He looks around for Fluttershy, if she's there.]

Actually, there's someone I want you to meet.

[He leans in to pretend to whisper conspiratorially.]

I think you'll really like her.

Why are you whispering? Who is it?

[ She says this a little loudly, looking a little confused ]

[lover_boy]

[That's alright. Even when she doesn't get subtle jokes the boy finds it cute.]

No reason.

[He shifts back to his normal tone.]

Her name's Fluttershy, but I'm not sure if she's here.

Fluttershy? [ Katniss makes a face ] Sounds like the name of someone from one of the Careers.

[lover_boy]

Not unless the Careers have started recruiting talking horses.

[Peeta could never see Fluttershy with someone like Glimmer.]

[sparksfire]

...Did you say a talking horse? You know that's not possible right? [ she puts a hand on his forehead] Are you sure you didn't hit your head?

[lover_boy]

[He smiles at the worry. It isn't needed, hut it's appreciated all the same.]

I'm sure. Fluttershy lives with me. Besides, the talking part is tame compared to the rest of her. She's got wings and pink mane. But she's really sweet. I think you'll really get along.

[sparksfire]

Well the pink mane probably isn't something out of the ordinary. I mean, you've seen the capitol people.

[ She kind of sighs and resigns to meeting a talking pony ]

Alright...

[lover_boy]

[He squeezes her hand.]

I'm pretty sure you'll like her as much as I do.

[sparksfire]

Alright, I'll meet her, if you want.

[lover_boy]

Thanks.

[He pulls her hand to his lips and kisses it.]

[ Awkward Katniss is Awkward ]

You're so weird.

[ And she's also really bad at this.]

I think you've told me that before.

Well, because you're weird.

I like to think of it as charming.

[sparksfire]

Oh, of course, I forgot. [ a small smile again ]

You don't think I'm charming?

[He's teasing a little. It's so rare that things ever seem normal around them, and even if she's in love with Gale they're still friends.]

[Oh, things were seeming normal around there? Fluttershy's been walking around the area looking a little lost, and she's spotted Peeta and is heading in that direction.]

Well, you did get the entire Capitol to love you in only a few days. [ Seriously, she's not saying it directly ]

[lover_boy]

[He could push if he really wanted to, but he won't. Friends don't push about stuff like that.]

It worked, didn't it?

[Then he notices the pink and yellow pony trotting up to them and waves, still holding onto Katniss's hand.]

There's Fluttershy.

Oh, hello!

[This other person is new, so Fluttershy's going to be little bit uncertain in her approach, but if Peeta is holding this new person's hand...maybe he finally found Katniss!]

[ If katniss had her bow, her natural reaction would be to shoot at the pony presented, given that she was always like that. However, she stiffened at the approach instead, looking at the pony with disbelief. ]

...H...Hi.

[lover_boy]

[Peeta could feel Katniss stiffen beside him, but he decided to try using his easy nature to calm the situation. He pulled her hand to his lips and kissed hers gently.]

This is Fluttershy, Fluttershy, this is Katniss. She's - [There's a short pause as he tries to think of what to call her. They weren't really engaged, that had always been a ruse for the games (even if it was something he wanted more then anything). The most he'd ever hope for would be friendship, so he settled on that.] She's my best friend.
