[open] Beach BBQ Mingle
Who: America and anyone up for a bite
When: Day 82 noon
Where: The park in the north, closer to the ocean
What: Believing that food can cheer anyone up after the failed escape plan and nightmare imprisonment, America grills up some burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings and veggie skewers for anyone who's passing by.
On such a gorgeous autumn day, who wouldn't want to spend it outside with good eats and warm sunshine? It had taken up a lot of time to 'imagine' up a few ice chests filled with ready-to-grill meat, but America had put all his energy into making sure it was the most ~*awesome*~ barbeque.
If anyone happens to pass by, they'll see him whistling a random, catchy tune while flipping a few patties. If his gaudy 'I ♥ NY' apron didn't catch their eye, the wonderful aroma of fresh burgers might turn their heads. If anyone comes close enough, America greets them with a bright grin.
"Hey there, pal! You're just in time! Grab a plate and knock yourself out!" He thumbs toward the table he set up with patties piled high, dressing, and condiments.
[[ooc: Threadjacking is encouraged! Feel free to have characters (especially you new folks) meet and mingle in the smaller threads or make your own! Let's enjoy good food and good weather! Don't forget to add your characters tag! o/]]

Re: Aaaack sorry for the slowfail!
He's been working on his English. Slowly. But surely. Curiosity flares across his skin in a mild tiger-stripe of a kind of Morpho-butterfly blue. Noting to himself that he'd begun to get a little too reclusive again, the oddity reminds himself that this is *not* Rhydin or...that other place.
And that's a good thing.
Re: Aaaack sorry for the slowfail!
"It's a place pretty far from here, called Panem. Honestly, I don't even think it's the same world." Peeta looks around for a moment, thinking. "The capital seems the same though. I guess most are though. Renne, do you know why they're doing this to us?" He feels like he needs to understand before he can make any moves toward getting out of here.
Re: Aaaack sorry for the slowfail!
He's been to a lot of places and place-times if one were to get really specific. But "Panem" isn't one of them. Scratching his head and twitching an ear, the oddity frowns at the fact that yes, he's getting bangs again. He shouldn't have bangs anymore! ....it's been years since he had bangs. Ahem. Anyrate.
"Eeee, Rrrrenne noh know. Rrrrenne do know it go-t lots bad mah-gic. Blech!"
And yes, every time he says "magic", he does things like makes a face that clearly says "Disgusting!" or sticks his tongue out.
Re: Aaaack sorry for the slowfail!
He still didn't understand the concept of magic. At home they had healing herbs and technology, but there wasn't anything like what these people were talking about. No one could heal you by bringing out large creatures or change their body color like the person in front of him was doing.
Re: Aaaack sorry for the slowfail!
It's the only way he knows how to explain it -- Magic is anything that cannot be explained by any form of science or scientific method.
