[Open] this part of the story I don't remember...

Who: Discord and anyone he meets
When: Day 85, late afternoon to evening
Where: Violet district
What: A denizen walks unleashed
Warnings: Scheming and potential con jobs, that's it.

The mirror had done its work considerably well. It only took the draconequus tempting fate by attempt to smash the mirror, the rest had been done easily. For a great lord of chaos he got himself trapped so fast. And now that he was, the other one, the good old fox could wander free.

For whatever reason, the rulers of this place had chosen Discord to play the cunning fox of the Pinocchio story. The change had taken over completely, not a single part remained draconequus. And despite the unfamiliarity of the place, he fell into the roll quite well. He did manage to live through the tale, did he not? Even though his tail did not.

No matter, this place would prove to have their own share of rubes, just like any other place. The fox limped along in his ragged clothes, taking the humbled posture of a beggar. Perhaps he might find a good schmuck today. The mirror followed along, of course, but there wasn't a thing the trapped lord of disharmony could do. There was a flash of a smirk to the mirror before he continued on his way.

The Muse maintains a small, knowing smile.

"Ah, inspiration is the very nature of my being. It exists tangibly only in the forms of my sisters and I. Truly, inspiration to write hymnals to the gods would do you more good than you realize."

The Muse arched an eyebrow.

"I am a goddess of inspiration, little one. Do you presume to know more about the nature of inspiration than one of its divine representatives?"

"Ah, then what sort of experience might you be drawing from?"

The Muse arches an eyebrow.

"Are you, now? That doesn't sound like any priesthood I'm familiar with."

"I would be interested to see these clergymen, for they do not accurately represent the gods and goddesses I have lived with throughout my existence."

The Muse gave the Fox a nod. "Perhaps that would be for the best."

Since things in Arcanarum work as they do and perhaps the Muse retains a little of Fluttershy's memory of France explaining this to her, Polyhymnia decided she would indeed provide a bit of help...by imagining some food into existence. She presented the apple that materialized out of thin air to Discord. "Perhaps a little nourishment would do you some good."

It was really too bad for the Fox that Fluttershy was not her normal self, but, alas, the Muse was not entirely on board with the concept of material needs, not when there were things such as inspiration and art to survive upon. That was part of the reason Muses tended to favor starving artists, after all.

"Ah, but this is aid, dear Fox. Your most basic material needs are being taken care of, and I have already offered you inspiration."

"I'm afraid not. As I have said before, I am a Muse. I require little else but art to sustain me." This was said with a very serene smile.

The Muse gives him a stately nod of farewell. "As do I, Fox. Until we meet again." With that, she continued along her way.
