[EVENT] The Wolf Attacks

What: The wolf is attacking everyone and taking no prisoners! Good luck denizens c:

[ Justice runs around the groups of denizen's calling for a dog, feigning concern. It seems that she's lost her puppy, which is a gargantuan wolf who is driven crazy by the color red. Needless to say he's biding his time around the island waiting for someone to come out for him to attack...Good Luck Everyone!]

[Running and hiding, hiding and running. This sure wasn't the way Germany usually went about handling a situation like this. But what other options did he have? Try to handle this monster like one of his dogs? No. That certainly wouldn't work out. Even a well-trained and behaved dog didn't just listen to anyone.

Crouching down where he had just stopped, the German closed his eyes for a moment and secretly was glad about the current lack of the sun or this stupid costume might have killed him already. That damned thing was hot already without any outside heat.

He quickly looked behind himself again after this short rest. Was that thing still within earshot?]

[ Nothing on this island stands out brighter to the wolf than the brilliant red adorning all the costumes, and no matter where Germany crouches, he cannot hide. Even when the red is out of sight, still the wolf can smell it...

When Germany looks behind, the wolf is there, slinking through the bushes, drool dripping from its bared fangs. A persistent low rumbling growl emanates from its throat, as it stalks closer, circling ever nearer, ready to pounce.

And then - once it's within a short distance, with a snarl it launches itself at Germany, ready to bowl him to the ground to tear with claws and teeth. ]

[Dammit, the beast has caught up already and it's really all Germany can do to throw himself flat on the ground and roll to the side to avoid the attack. For now. He quickly pulls himself into a crouch and turns towards the wolf, snarling right back at the monstrum. But aggravating it further is no help either.

So all he does in the end is raise his voice and bark a loud, clear order at the wild animal. Maybe it reacts to some loud, sharp noise equally than a dog does. But that also is more an idea born from the lack of anything that actually works.]

[ The beast is surprised that this one was able to dodge, but it does not take it long at all, to ready itself for another attack, stalking toward Germany with the low rumble of a growl in its throat.

The wolf does pause, mid-step, as the denizen in front of it suddenly yells. Sharp, clear, enough to make it stop in its track for a few seconds. But then it lets out a short series of barks that, taken with it baring its teeth shortly after, sounds like laughter with what looks almost too keenly like a smirk.

The wolf soon keeps moving toward its prey, though it keeps its pace slow, carefully watching what Germany might do next. Hopefully, he starts running - the wolf does so love a game of Fetch. ]

[On the one hand, Germany is well aware that trying to run from it will only make the wolf follow. On the other hand he is also aware that nothing that would scare away any normal wolf might work here. This beast is just too big and... Well. Apparently aware of the size difference.

If he could get close enough to land a blow to its muzzle or eye, though, he might have a chance to distract it enough to get away for sure. The difficulty here is merely to get past those sharp teeth and claws.

Still he preferred that over running like a scared chicken.

Letting out an irritated huff, Germany adjusts his stance and takes a few measuring steps backwards while keeping his eyes on the huge canine, whispering a single word in German.]

...komm.

[ And komm the wolf does, crouching low before springing forward in one long bound in an effort to knock Germany down or at the least off his balance. It snarls and snaps at him when they meet, vicious and eager to taste the flesh of this foolish, brazen man. ]

[The moment the massive wolf comes at him, Germany leaps back at first before charging right at the monster'S face. He barely dodges the sharp teeth with his body and has to pull his arm back to not have it stuck between those jaws, resulting in a torn costume and a row of long, bloody gashes running from his upper arm down past his elbow.

Cursing under his breath he spins around and jerks his uncut arm up and forcefully down again, aiming a blow with his elbow onto the huge animal's nose before it gets the chance to snap at him again.]
