Who: Domon and anyone that wants to bump into him.
What: Domon still feels guilty for his actions while he was the werewolf, even though he had no control of himself. Maybe getting out of the house for a while will help him feel better?
When: November 7th, any time between late morning and early evening.
Where: Anywhere on the island, as long as it's outside.
Warnings: Angst. Will update if there's more.


He'd spent the last few days inside, afraid to go out and face what he'd been forced to do. But he could only take so much of that before being finally giving in to the urge to get up, to just move. So now here he was, wondering about the island. He couldn't run from the facts forever. If people considered him a monster after this then so be it. But maybe facing it, and the people he'd hurt, will help him to heal...

The only person Teddie hadn't really heard from was Domon. He knew that the other attacked him (and he had his arm wrapped up to prove it). Teddie found he couldn't be mad at the other; he could understand how Domon must be feeling and found that he couldn't ever blame him. Teddie was considered a monster without hurting people, so it wasn't like he didn't understand how Domon may be feeling.

Walking outside, Teddie wanted to get some fresh air. Usually, he was busy with taking care of Nanako, helping Minato or seeing his friends, but lately he'd been kind of depressed. The Rulers antics were wearing him down. Noticing the other suddenly though, he hurriedly went to the other.

"Domon-sensei!!" He exclaimed, almost tackling him down into a tight hug.

Domon saw Teddie, but not until he had already been seen. So he couldn't try to hide or avoid the encounter. But he was surprised by the hug.

"Teddie..." He sees the bandages on Teddie's arm, and winces. "I'm sorry."

Teddie pulled back and looked up at the other with a frown. "Why are you sorry? About my arm? That's okay! You weren't you!" Teddie just smiled to the other and tried to relieve him, but he knew that it would take a little bit more then that.

"But I..." He wasn't him but he still remembered doing it. At least Teddie wasn't angry with him, which was what he was really worried about. So instead of arguing Domon stopped himself from continuing and just smiled at his friend. He still felt bad - his drooping wolf-ears made that obvious - but at least the smile was genuine.

Teddie smiled and hugged him again. He didn't want to make the other feel bad. He knew the feeling, kind of, to have a part of yourself you didn't like or could control. "It's okay. I understand beary well that it's hurtful when you have a part of you that's grizzly," Teddie said, finally pulling back from Domon.

"You just have to understand that you'll always have friends who accept those parts!"

"But what do you do if those 'grizzly' parts hurt those same friends?" He was thankful the people he hurt or even killed had come back and were willing to forgive him. But there was a part of him that wondered if he even deserved their forgiveness. Maybe it would be better if everyone just stayed far away from him.

Teddie thinks for a minute. "Well, even if those parts hurt your friends, if they are really good friends, it won't matter! They'll understand you didn't mean to hurt them." He says finally, grinning. Patting the other on the head (it was more of the cheek because Teddie's not that tall), Teddie just laughed.

"You have to accept parts of yourself you may not want others to exbearience or see, sometimes. Plus, it's not who you really are, here. You're you and that's all that matters!

Domon looked at the other for a minute, seeming to think it over. Then he smiled. If Teddie was willing to forgive him so easily, then he could finally forgive himself a little even though he still felt guilty.

"Maybe you're right." And in return for the pat on the cheek, Domon reaches over and ruffles Teddie's hair.

Teddie pushes Domon off and fixes his hair, looking a little offended. Domon should know better then to mess with Teddie's fur! But he seemed to make the other feel better, so he smiled instead.

"Don't mess up my pristine hair! The ladies might be close!" Teddie warned, but it didn't have any malice to it, "And of course I'm right!"

Domon lets Teddie push him back, and actually chuckles a little. It wasn't a very deep laugh, but it was still an improvement.

"Don't worry, there's no one else around." Not unless they were really good at hiding anyway.

"Good! I always have to look my beary best!" Teddie said, smiling greatly and running a hand through his hair. One could almost see the sparkles around him as he smiled.

Since waking up in his room again, Minato has mostly just gone about his days trying not to think too much about his death. It's not the fact that he died that he doesn't want to think about so much as it's just thinking about the manner in which he did it. He doesn't hold it against Domon, but it's like thinking about the times he's stayed in hospitals or the funerals he's attended - it's just not something he wants to dwell on. So instead, he's been sleeping a little less and working a little more and focusing on trying to look out for Nanako and Teddie. But he's also taken to a lot more pacing around the island (in between attempts at flight; he's getting better slowly). Long walks with just a sword and his music, blaring through his headphones and drowning out his thoughts, as he fulfills the less than pleasant task his denizen's mind is insisting he do.

But such is living on this island, and so there's nothing for it but to keep on going. Although he checked in on most of the people he knows on the island, he has had yet to run into Domon, and so when, on one of his walks, he sees Domon wandering, Minato - after a few moments of hesitation - approaches.

He doesn't really say much beyond a quiet, "... good afternoon," as he starts walking beside his friend.

Domon is silent at first, at a loss for what to say. It was true he had no control of himself when he'd hurt Minato, but he still had those memories and they were painfully vivid. Still, seeing the other alive and well again made it easier to deal with them. Even if he didn't know how to talk with Minato now.

"I'm glad they brought you back." He's good with words so he's not sure that wasn't the 'right' thing to say, but it was better than the awkward silence.

"... I'm glad to be back."

And he is. Mostly. He'd be happier if he had come back without the compulsion to go find things about to die. But either way, he then goes on to add:

"I'm glad you're okay." Physically, anyway. Obviously Domon doesn't seem to be totally all right otherwise.

"...I wish you wouldn't have hesitated when you realized it was me."

Everyone kept saying that. But he'd really rather that he be the one to get hurt, instead of hurting other people.

Minato is quiet for a few moments at that, looking sidelong at Domon before sighing.

"Maybe I shouldn't have. Or maybe the end still would have been the same. It doesn't really matter, except maybe as a lesson for what to do next time."

It seems clear that there will probably keep being next times, every time the moon is full. It's not that Minato blames Domon or anything - but he thinks that since it's a predictable cycle, maybe they can set up precautionary measures.

"Maybe. Or maybe you would have been able to buy yourself enough time to get away."

"Hopefully there won't be a next time..." He knows that as long as he's the werewolf, there will always be a next time. But he'll be taking his own precautions on the full moon, so maybe he can at least keep people safe from himself during the predictable changes.
