[EVENT] The Visitations
Who: All Characters
When: November 29-December 19
Where: Your Home
What: The Visits
Warnings: For language and other dark elements.
This is going to go a certain way! Each time there is a visitation by a ghost, we will post a thread. Then, we will respond to that thread, if you indicate you want us to do so, or if you will have other characters in the thread. Remember, the Ghost of Christmas Past will have all your characters in the same moment of time, so if you want to be able to interact with each other, go ahead. Additionally, you will be viewing the moment in time that your denizen was killed from a third person perspective, so you can meet up with anyone during that time, but you cannot talk to your denizen. Once your denizen is dead, you are free to move around the island.
During the viewing with the Ghost of Christmas Present, you will be in the same situation, but only able to view things within your own canon. This means you can’t really speak to anyone but the NPC of the Ghost, which will be played by the mods.
For when The World shows up, we will have a separate thread for her and Kuma will be responding to you with her. You can freely talk to anyone here as well, in the game.
If there are any questions please respond to the thread provided below.

Wow RUDE he's being nice.
Bond or not, even with the refusal to fully accept his position alongside Scott, Stiles is familiar. Stiles is pack. And alphas look out for their packs, or they might as well fall straight back down to omega again.
His arms come away easy as Stiles moves again, tracking his motions as he makes sure he remains steady before he does anything. Once he's certain that he's come down from the attack, he slowly moves towards the wolf. ]
I was in the castle again. [ He kneels at her head, disregarding blood and gore as he reaches out with a gentle hand. It's almost a pointless gesture, with her halved and dead in only the most effective way possible for a wolf to be killed, but he doesn't care. She was one of them.
He closes her eyes. ] The Beast was there.
And we're very proud of you, dad.
The issue of Red was something completely different. It was easy enough to accept that she was the wolf, weird as it was. Less easy to accept that'd be him. A werewolf.]
This is ridiculously ironic, I hope you--what? [Stiles pauses midsentence, as he's wont to do, and raises his eyebrows, watching him close the wolf's eyes from behind. He's not looking forward to the answer, but--] ...and?
BI
Once Red's eyes are closed, he sets his hand between her ears in silent respect. He does not think about how the Rulers apparently have the mission of changing Stiles into this, not when he sees what happened to his predecessor. ]
I didn't stay. [ The irony isn't missed, but he doesn't comment on it. Instead, he stands again and turns towards the castle, jaw tight and brow furrowed. ] There was someone screaming for him, when they killed him.
I think they lured him into the castle with Beauty as bait.
♥
Finally turning his head away, he looks at the castle as well, frowning. That...sounds like something Derek would do, actually. Go running in headfirst to a situation to save someone. It makes his stomach churn--they'd been chosen to replace these people and who's to say they weren't already like them?]
...Think I liked the Disney ending better. [It's grimly, and he shoves his hands firmly in his pockets.]
... ♥
He rolls his shoulders and neck, cracking them as he thinks. They need to find Scott and Erica, to get them away from whatever it is that they'll wind up seeing. Maybe they can use this opportunity, all the chaos, to check out the castle. ]
I think I did, too. [ Attention still focused on the castle, he moves towards Stiles again, entire body tense as if he's been put on high alert. ]
no subject
After getting the text from Waver, he sends one to Scott, as well. If it worked for Waver, he can only hope it'll work for him, too.]
scott, where are you? have you seen erica?
[And then, he glances back at Derek, pulling his attention away from the eerie castle looming overhead.]....Should we go back?
no subject
He leaves Stiles to sending out the messages, fairly certain he doesn't have his compact with him. ]
It's the most identifiable landmark on the entire island. If we tell them to meet with us there, it'll be easier than running around trying to find one another. [ He finally looks back to Stiles, expression grim but set. ] And it gets us away from here.
[ Though he has the feeling that signs the Beast was killed in the castle will be present, he wants the pack as far from their own denizens' deaths as they can possibly be. Judging by how one wolf was killed in the forest, he has a feeling the other two will be here or in the city proper, not the castle. ]
no subject
Stiles is pretty much thrilled to turn his attention away from Red's body, whether her eyes are closed are not. It's a chilling reminder of his supposed fate; not just the death, either. As he quickly shoots a message to Scott and to Erica, he starts walking side by side with Derek, looking around at the chaos.]
This is one way to scope out the area around the castle. [There aren't a lot of landmarks, but Stiles tries to catalogue them the best he can--knots in trees, lain down logs.] Trying not to use the, y'know, death, destruction, and general agony as benchmarkers, but maybe we can come back after this...[He gestures his hand around the forest.]...this is over with.

Glancing at Stiles as he speaks, Derek huffs humorlessly and scans the area around them. He knows he'd be able to find his way back to this location without a problem, even lacking his heightened senses. From day one, he was raised to know the forest. How to navigate it, how to survive in it if necessary. It's one of the reasons he disliked New York so much, on top of how many people there were in the city. It was all artificial and fake, smogged with pollution and dampening scents. ]
I would mark our trail, but I'm not even sure it'd still be there later. But I'll be able to guide us through regardless, so it's fine.

[At this point his chatter's a little nervous--but it's normal, and that's good. Normal is very good. Normal is not thinking about Red, or the various other things going on. Stiles keeps his hand on the stupid compact as he follows after Derek, anxiety twisting around his heart at the silence on the other end. Hearing from either of them'd be a blessing right now.]
no subject
[ Derek isn't above cracking jokes, even if his tone is almost always dry when he does it. But sometimes, it's worth it. Right now? Stiles is nervous and anxious, a few steps away from another attack if it builds to a head. So, he considers the response worth it. ]
no subject
Holy shit, Derek made a joke.
Before he knew it, he'd snorted, and he quipped,] For whether we are human, or werewolf-skinned? [Before drawing his mouth into a tight line, obviously trying not to laugh. Good one, Derek.]
no subject
You know, we're all connected to one another. [ He looks back at Stiles, arching both eyebrows but otherwise keeping a deadpan expression. ] In a circle of a hoop that never ends.
[ The fact he can remember the lyrics to a Disney song is fairly ridiculous, but it's helping. ]
god damn it snow i can't even type a response
Eeeehhhh, I dunno. I think the only people who are people are the people who look and think like me. [It's definitely helping. Stiles is wishing he could record this for future posterity.]
All according to keikaku.
Not exactly the best way to live. If you walked in the footsteps of a stranger, who knows. [ He cocks his head, almost as if he's legitimately considering this mock-topic at hand. ] Maybe you could paint with all the colors of the wind.
cries laughing
Guess I'll reconsider cutting down the sycamore. Gotta see how high it grows.
[Now he's looking away, a long snort escaping him as the smile lights up his eyes. Jesus freakin' Christ. Derek Hale being hilarious is a new development he can actually work with.]
83
Good. And while you're at it, you should ask the grinning bobcat why he grins. You two are pretty alike in that regard.
[ As Stiles looks away, a slight quirk appears at the corner of his mouth. Just barely. ]
no subject
God, he just wants to find Scott and Erica already.]
So while you guys are doing your howling thing, if I get caught up in some sort of agony I can paint the giant HELP ME across the sky with all the colors of the wind. Got it.
no subject
It's of a great, horned beast, eyes frozen wide and teeth bared in a now-mute roar. ]
That's probably not as effective as Pocahontas would have you believe. Maybe we can teach you how to howl.
[ The humor that was laced beneath his deadpan is gone now. ]
no subject
The beast.]
Well, that's pleasant. [Grimacing a little, he nudged Derek with his shoulder, just slightly. They couldn't stop here. ]
You remember how Scott sounded like a dying cat? It's going to be like ten times worse. [Pausing for a beat, his mouth draws into a grimace, recalling Red's body.] ...Tell you what, give it a week or two, in the first full moon, and I bet I'll be a pro.
no subject
You'll be fine. [ It's a short answer, but he keeps going up to the thrown-open gates into the castle courtyard. ] If you do wind up shifting, you're with the pack. Nothing will happen to you.
no subject
Derek's right though. He blows out into the cold night air, jamming his hands tighter in his pockets and looking everywhere but at Derek--and at the beast strung out on the roof.]
...Yeah. I figure of all the places to be more or less forced into lycanthropy, it's better to be surrounded by a bunch of, you know, lycanthropes. [There's a beat of silence before he lowers his gaze, then slowly brings it up to look at Derek again, dead in the eyes.]
...it'd be easier with a pack, yeah?
no subject
He lets out a sound of agreement at first, before he slows to a stop and looks back at Stiles. The question doesn't strike him until he's processed it a second time, and he looks back at Stiles with faint surprise and something else, something deeper. He doesn't want to apply a name to it. ]
Pack supports one another, when it's needed most.
no subject
To be fair, Stiles is kind of unbelieving that it came out of his mouth, too. But it's the right decision. Scott's probably going to kill him later, but it's the right decision. He needs both of them, people with experience; combined with his outsider's experience, and what he saw in the forest... Stiles wasn't exactly looking forward to becoming the one thing he pretty much avoided at all costs, but something at admitting that he'd be pack made it go a little easier.]
We kind of need it here. I kind of need someone who might know what he's doing, maybe. Scott and I don't know what we're doing like 90% of the time, and to be fair, you only know like...half that, but...
[He takes a breath.]
We...I need an alpha.
[And god is that weird to say.]
no subject
Here, in Arcanarum, he isn't a wolf as he was in Beacon Hills. But the sense of pack, the wolf's instincts, were never so much a part of his senses or abilities as they were simply him. His need to help the members who make up his pack remains as strong as ever, and actually hearing Stiles say I need an alpha is as strengthening as it would be if there was that almost tangible bond. ]
We might not know everything, but working together we'll be able to figure it out. And while we're all together, nothing will happen. To any of you. [ He tips his head forwards, towards him, keeping his eyes as he does. ] I won't let it.
