[EVENT] The Visitations
Who: All Characters
When: November 29-December 19
Where: Your Home
What: The Visits
Warnings: For language and other dark elements.
This is going to go a certain way! Each time there is a visitation by a ghost, we will post a thread. Then, we will respond to that thread, if you indicate you want us to do so, or if you will have other characters in the thread. Remember, the Ghost of Christmas Past will have all your characters in the same moment of time, so if you want to be able to interact with each other, go ahead. Additionally, you will be viewing the moment in time that your denizen was killed from a third person perspective, so you can meet up with anyone during that time, but you cannot talk to your denizen. Once your denizen is dead, you are free to move around the island.
During the viewing with the Ghost of Christmas Present, you will be in the same situation, but only able to view things within your own canon. This means you can’t really speak to anyone but the NPC of the Ghost, which will be played by the mods.
For when The World shows up, we will have a separate thread for her and Kuma will be responding to you with her. You can freely talk to anyone here as well, in the game.
If there are any questions please respond to the thread provided below.

[Confidence back, Scott's glare is stony and cold-- for a few seconds.]
...You won't, but... I'm just... I'm just saying, okay?
no subject
Believe me, I'm aware.
no subject
[Scott takes out his compact, looking at it, and then back to Derek.]
...I'm glad you're here anyway. Even if I'm really surprised about it.
no subject
We're in it together. Surprise or not.
[ What a foreign thing, these days, for him to say that. But it seems a little hesitant, as he says it. As if he's not sure how to word it. ]
no subject
[taking a deep, solid breath, and letting it out, Scott sucked on the words for a few moments before actually saying them.]
...As pack. With you.
[Rolling his eyes up to the sky as if it was the biggest inconvenience ever, Scott continued.]
As alpha. Powers or not.
no subject
Few things he hoped for happened, and he just learned not to put too much investment in the idea of it. ]
... Then.
[ Another slight pause, as if trying to summon up the right words for it. Sometimes he was good with them, other times it took more effort than it should have. More effort than it used to. This was about give and take, a mutual exchange between them to try and make things easier. ]
I'll work to be the alpha that you deserve. That all of you deserve.
[ It sounded right, even if it was a struggle to admit outright that he was nowhere near being a proper alpha. But he would do it. ]
no subject
[Much calmer than earlier, Scott couldn't help but let his signature puppysmile show through. It was a sign of some form of trust- that, and a definite dependency on Derek's presence.
Without the usual conflicts they had, Scott had only his own problems and Derek's attitude keeping him them from getting along- but now Scott needed him, just as the rest of them all needed eachother.]
I don't wanna have to overthrow you in fairytale jail. I don't think Erica'd join forces with me and Stiles.
no subject
He wasn't inclined to trust them. There was a chance, here, with the pack from Beacon Hills. And he wanted to try. ]
She wouldn't. And Stiles might even get a little agitated about it. We have more important things to worry about.
no subject
[He shrugged, looking back toward his communicator again before he continued, the smile not yet fading.]
I mean, you won't. Secretly you're a good guy, even if Stiles thought you were a serial killer and you act like you're all dark or something.
[...Noooot that it wasn't always warranted or anything.]
no subject
[ As Scott looked away, he couldn't help but glower at that comment. It still stung, even months later, as he was reminded of the two teens digging up his sister before claiming he was a killer. ]
You both thought I was a serial killer. Nevermind convincing a good number of other people that I was, after you knew I wasn't.
[ He had never been given a chance to comment on it, so why not now since Scott was the one to bring it up. ]
no subject
I didn't- I mean they either thought it was me or I could tell them it was a giant wolf and they lock me up for being psycho! Which would totally not fix anything and we were really sure that stabbing you through the chest would kind of kill you!
[Scott swallowed, then, scratching his neck.]
And you weren't... exactly giving us like, I dunno, a reason not to think so.
...Sorry about... Laura, and that, though.
no subject
[ There was no real bite to his words, but Derek's expression was leveled, jaw tight from more than just the visitation. He had the image of his sister smiling, alive, contrasting against the lifeless eyes he had found. The wolf he had bound her to in wolfsbane, until Scott and Stiles came along and unearthed her.
And then they had accused him of her murder, pinned him for the murders of Kate's accomplices when they had no other answer. ]
And what would've happened, if there were more murders after I died? Reasons or not, that would've only lasted so long.
[ He rolled his neck, looking off to the side and away from him for a moment. ]
... I got to bury her properly, at least. If only that.
[ Even now, he realized, he had yet to really mourn her. ]
no subject
[Scott sighed exasperatedly, shaking his head.]
I know. I'm sorry. We were trying to help and we messed it up and I get it. I'm sorry.
[Scuffing his shoe on the ground, Scott scratched his neck again, almost appearing nervous.]
I'm sure she... she didn't deserve that, we just weren't... thinking. I'm sorry.
no subject
He rolled his eyes upwards, willing himself to have the good grace to actually not snap out his words. He succeeded rather well, actually, keeping himself even. ]
You had good intentions. Both of you did. But without all the facts, it doesn't pull through.
[ After a quiet second, he looked at him properly again. ]
We'll... work on avoiding that, in the future.
no subject
[Scott swallowed, dropping his arms almost exasperatedly.]
It... means we have to tell eachother everything. No more stupid hiding things.
...Except you can't tell Stiles I dreamt he was a werewolf.
no subject
[ Derek didn't miss it, and opted to point it out, but he meant the latter portion of the comment. That much is obvious. ]
If you do or don't want to tell him, that's your call.
no subject
[Scott rubs his arm nervously, staring at Derek as though lost. How was he supposed to take care of Stiles as nothing but an asthmatic human? This heroing thing was easier with powers. Figures the first time he needed them they'd be gone.]
How am I supposed to tell him everything will be okay when he just thinks he's gonna hurt us? I don't know what to do.
no subject
[ It's not outright admitting that he's scared, but Derek isn't the type to say something like that outright. Instead, he groups them all together, because right now? It's true.
He hesitates, before reaching out to set his hand at the base of Scott's neck, close to where it meets the shoulder, and squeezing. It's just a brief press, gentle, and then he pulls back. ]
When you don't know what to do, you trust the pack to back you up. Stiles won't hurt any of us. We won't let it happen.
no subject
[Scott keeps that same gaze on Derek for a few moments, looking away as his frustration grows.]
He's my best friend. He- he saved my life like, every day. He's just... gotta be okay.
no subject
[ Derek keeps his focus on Scott, determined to fight against his frustration. ]
Stay with him, just like he's stayed with you through all this. It's all you can do, if he won't listen.
no subject
I just wanna get out of here and get him home.
no subject
You will, Scott. Until then, I know you'll keep him safe. Him and Erica both.
no subject
[He looked to the side again, obviously bothered. Scott felt- was- powerless. What could he do besides hope they'd all be fine- scope things out and hope his asthma didn't trigger every time they got into a scary situation?]
I really didn't think I'd ever miss being a werewolf.
no subject
We'll figure things out. And even when we do, I'll make sure nothing happens to any of you.
no subject
[Even though it wasn't– he knew it wasn't- he could wish all he wanted.]
...Just remember you're... You're human too, now, Derek.
