This is going to go a certain way! Each time there is a visitation by a ghost, we will post a thread. Then, we will respond to that thread, if you indicate you want us to do so, or if you will have other characters in the thread. Remember, the Ghost of Christmas Past will have all your characters in the same moment of time, so if you want to be able to interact with each other, go ahead. Additionally, you will be viewing the moment in time that your denizen was killed from a third person perspective, so you can meet up with anyone during that time, but you cannot talk to your denizen. Once your denizen is dead, you are free to move around the island.

During the viewing with the Ghost of Christmas Present, you will be in the same situation, but only able to view things within your own canon. This means you can’t really speak to anyone but the NPC of the Ghost, which will be played by the mods.

For when The World shows up, we will have a separate thread for her and Kuma will be responding to you with her. You can freely talk to anyone here as well, in the game.

[And she's silently following him, actually cooperating a bit.]

Not really, you're far too confusing for that.

[ For a moment he looks back at her across his shoulder, scoffing a little before he returns to staring ahead him. ]

That's fine. I don't understand you most of the time either.

[ They're almost at the beach too now.. ]

[extrafancy]

[Oh, looks like they're arriving now. She stops though, just watching him for a second before speaking up.]

...What are you trying to do here, exactly? [she trusts him more so than anyone here, but doesn't fully trust him completely just yet.]

[deceases]

[ For a moment he's just quiet before he properly speaks up, as if he isn't entirely sure of how to say it either. ]

.. You wanted to go to the beach, right? Well, here you go. [ As if that's all of it, he shrugs. Honestly, he was just being a little thoughtful with all this, but he isn't going to admit that out loud. As long as they couldn't do anything about those weird displays of deaths, there's no use thinking about it. Besides, he's always one to take everything on his own shoulders either way, trying to push others out of danger's way and trying to distract them from it. Like now.

Even if what is between them doesn't have a name - it's not friends, yet it's not like they're strangers either.. he just doesn't want her to be hurt. ]

[extrafancy]

[...What are they even then if they aren't friends? Just.... two people on this island that talk and trust each other? Something like that. Still, she watches him carefully before looking out at the water. It was strange being here with him though, and she slowly moved to cross her arms over her chest.]

...Yuuki-kun, do you think we'll die like our denizens did?

[deceases]

Who knows. [ He isn't too sure, and he isn't even looking at her anymore - he's just looking out over the water now, watching the sun hanging low and heavy in the air as it's setting, spreading a warm red glow over the water and coloring the entire landscape, including them, in its colors. It's so bright he even has to squint a little. ]

This might be a warning, them telling us the same will happen to us if we don't listen.. or it really is showing us what will happen to us inevitably too. [ He can't decide which way it is, there's too little information for that. ]

.. Why, are you worried?

[ Still not looking at her, he's just standing there with his hands in the pockets of his pants staring at the sea. ]

[She casts her gaze out to the horizon, watching the sun as it sets. She's just quiet for a few moments, recalling a scene like this before, a year and a half ago when Kouichi came and she hit him with that can...

...She comes back to reality though, shaking her head.]

I'm... [this guy, she's shared so much with him already so- why not do it a little more?]

Would you judge me if I said I was?

[deceases]

[ It's at that that he pauses, and he turns his head to look at her now as the sunset paints her with its colors now. For a few moments he doesn't answer directly, but then he shakes his head. ]

.. No. That's only human.

[ Not that he is as worried. Maybe it's more of a general indifference towards most things that makes him less scared. Honestly, if he'd had to say.. he is more worried about something happening to her than something happening to him. Weird, isn't it? ]

It's okay to be worried or scared, Akazawa. .. But.. I meant what I said before. I'll protect you.

[extrafancy]

[She's still not looking at him, she realizes that his gaze is trained on her though. She merely listens to his words, and when he brings up the fact that he'll protect her, he declared it just like that.... she can feel her face heat up a bit, something making her heart pound a little faster in her chest.

Slowly she turned to look at him, staring up at him she takes a step closer to him, just one step though.]

Why are you so determined to protect me of all people...? [she's actually curious, since she's always been the one that's been trying to protect others, she's always been the strong one.]

[deceases]

You're always so determined to protect others or fight. [ So much that he sees himself reflected in it, in a way. To have that much determination to fight something that can hardly even be fought - a curse, the Shiki - to want to take that up all by yourself, no matter how heavy that kind of thing is.. he knows exactly what it feels like. But he also knows that while he's fairly strong and indifferent, she's a little more weak than that. Not that it's a bad thing, honestly.. he.. likes that about her? It's a strange feeling that he doesn't quite get, but something about the way she's so strong yet softer too makes him care. It makes him want to protect her.

She took the first step, but now he takes a few steps over to her until he's right in front of her. His hand reaches out, landing on her shoulder. ]

But.. it's okay now, Akazawa-- no, Izumi. [ He says her first name a little softer, as if it's slightly embarassing for him too. ] It's alright. You don't have to carry all that by yourself anymore.

[ Because he doesn't want that. He doesn't want anyone to have to suffer that, he doesn't want someone so beautiful (more in personality than looks, like Natsuno cares about the latter) have to go through that.

Almost despite himself and without him realising it, the hand on her shoulder travels up until it's on her cheek instead. ]

[Ah... th....this guy?! He's suddenly being so forward, walking towards her like that, saying her first name, almost as though he thinks that their relationship has reached the next level! She didn't even know what their relationship was, she just figured it was some kind of awkward friendship, but it was hardly even that. She wants to slap his hand away from her, she wants to do anything to stop this but...

...But why isn't she? She's just letting him do that, letting him touch her shoulder and then her cheek. When he says those words though, that she doesn't have to be alone in this anymore... she can feel the tears she had been holding back for a long time begin to well up in her eyes. She was so used to doing everything herself, acting strong and taking it all on but... someone else was helping her, supporting her, it was so different.

I don't want to die.

She wanted to say that to him, her main concern, but saying it would bring up more bad memories of when her brother was alive, pounding on the walls and every day was like hell for her.]

Na.... Natsuno.... [the tears fall from her eyes, she can feel them rolling down her cheeks and staining her face.]

[Before she even knew what she was doing, before she could stop herself, she was already moving closer to him. She reached out to him, gripping the fabric of his clothes with her hands on his chest, and soon she raised herself up on her toes, trying to reach him.

She kissed him, she pressed her lips to his and it was all so sudden, even she didn't get why this was happening but it just was. She was crying, relieved from the feeling of not being so alone in this, and also wanting him for some odd reason.

Still, she just... wanted to kiss him...]

[ .. She's crying, isn't she? He just stares at it, not moving from his spot, he just watches. This is exactly what he means, he knows after all the things here that she does have a weaker side to her too, but that she tries to shove that down and instead seem strong all the time - and that's exactly what he's trying to tell her here, that she doesn't have to always do that as long as he's here, he doesn't mind carrying her burden or anyone else's as well.. but for some reason especially hers by now.

And he didn't even mean it in a romantic way, Natsuno is just strangely sappy with his words all of a sudden. But still, he doesn't protest or even try to move away when she grabs him and then locks their lips together. There is some actual surprise at the first moment of it, since he didn't quite see it coming. But after his eyes get a little less wide again, he just.. gives in to it. It doesn't feel bad. Her lips are surprisingly soft too, her smell so fresh..

Before he even really fully realises it either, he's already moved an arm around her to pull her closer to him, kissing her back as well.

.. It still doesn't feel quite bad, that's what he realises as she moments pass on with them standing there kissing like this. Quite the opposite, actually, and his hold on her tightens just a little bit. ]

[She didn't know if this was right, if she was even following her feeling properly, if he even liked her back but... either way, all her concerned melt away as soon as she feels an arm moving around her, pulling her close. He's kissing her back, thank god, she likes the feeling of him being so close to her, against her lips and everything.

She's still crying though, the tears streaming down her cheeks even as she talks. She needs to breathe though, so after a few more moments she pulls away. Oh man... did they really do that? The first thing Akazawa does though is bring an arm up to her face, using her sleeve to wipe her eyes a bit.]

[deceases]

[ Y.. eah, that really was a thing that happened, huh? Then again, Natsuno has a strict policy of not regretting anything he's done - at least, things he's done that don't have negative consequences for others - so he just shrugs it off for now mentally. It just happened, and.. he didn't mind it, so then it isn't a bad thing. Would he mind doing that again in the future? .. Not really. ]

.. Can't say I expected you to do that. [ But it's not entirely his usual tone, there's something a little lighter in there. ] Was it so bad that it's making you cry?

[ He's still not entirely letting go of her - he'll hold her close here for as long as it's needed, until she feels safe. ]

[extrafancy]

[Hey, she wasn't expecting it either. But at his words she just shakes her head, trying to calm down from crying here. She moves to lean in towards him, her forehead resting on his chest now, her grip tightening on his clothes.]

Shut up.... [he's just ruining it now.]

[deceases]

[ Nobody said Natsuno was the perfect romantic, okay. But at least he does seem to have some sense of other people's feelings, since when she leans even closer his grip grows even a little bit firmer on her too.

For a moment or two he's quiet, but then his head leans slightly down to almost rest on top of hers. ]

Still scared?

[extrafancy]

[Slowly she shakes her head, still against him however, so he'll probably feel that more so than see it.]

...No, I'm fine.

[she said it against his clothing, so it's rather muffled.]

[deceases]

Good. [ He lets out a soft breath, a near sigh of relief. It means he at least got to do something right here, if he at least made her feel a little better or more safe for a moment.. ]

From now on you can rely on me, after all.

[extrafancy]

[After a few more moments of staying close to him like that she finally pulled away. She's calm now, that's for sure. After taking a few steps away from him she just turns her head, kind of.... not wanting to look at him for a moment.]

...About what I did... [the kiss. She's gathered her determination again and looked at him once more.] It wasn't just on a whim, understand?

[deceases]

[ .. Huh? He just stares at her, a little surprised, as she says that. Sure, he didn't think she's the type to do something like that on a whim, but that's obvious, right? So why is she telling him it again now, what is she trying to say-- .. ah, it's.. that? ]

Are you saying you want to make it something official?

[extrafancy]

Isn't that obvious? [she's back to her huffy mood. She's done crying it seems, it was just that little bit and she's finished, she's over it. Akazawa crosses her arms, giving him a look like she's expecting an answer back.]

[deceases]

[ Yup, this is more like the Akazawa he knows. He sighs, as if it's some really bothersome things, but honestly, he doesn't mind it that much. Not like he dislikes her, and so far he doesn't really see any downsides to it, so.. ]

.. Sure, if you want it. I don't mind. [ His response is very Natsuno-like in its surface indifference, though. But he does mean it. ]

[extrafancy]

[...Oh god he said yes.

He said yes to them being an official couple. She's feeling all sorts of things right now, she's happy for it, relieved too, but she's pretty embarrassed and everything..

...Wait a second.]

Are you still going to sleep in my room?

[deceases]

[ AKAZAWA.. He doesn't even get the implications of that even now, really. So he just stares at her, half-confused.. ]

Yeah? Didn't we decide on that? [ Zilch hormones. ]
