Who: Ange and Amakusa
When: December 31st
Where: Ange's room
What: The two decide to celebrate New Years together.
Warnings: Drinking, Amakusa being.. Amakusa.. basically.

[ Sure, Ange knew there was a big party at the bar tonight, but.. she's definitely not the social type. And especially not the type for parties. So instead she has a much better idea of how she'd like to celebrate the new year here, especially since she's already been stuck here for so long. It's got to be about half a year, huh..? The stay here has changed her, sure, but at least she's still in charge of her own mind and that's something she can at least be grateful for.

.. And.. well, there's one more reason to be grateful. And that reason is the guy sitting on the bed together with her. Ange never thought it'd end up like this when she first arrived here and knew he was here too, yet here they are-- already together for so long. She didn't even know Amakusa was capable of staying together with anyone, and honestly, some days she's still worried about it.. but it's just since it makes her happy. More than she'd often like to admit. Besides, she feels like she understands him more now he's actually even gone out of his way to tell her about his past.

It's why they're just celebrating it together, just the two of them. Except Amakusa decided to take some alcohol with him from the bar for the little celebration, which is why Ange's eyeing those bottles now. ]

You're really going to drink all of that?

[ .. There. Phew, at least now he won't do anything too stupid while he's drunk, especially since he's saying this too.. it's a relief. Since even if she doesn't always show it, of course she cares about him a lot, so keeping him out of trouble and to not make an idiot out of himself is what she can do here, at least. ]

What a disappointment. [ But she's pretty obviously joking. She draws the covers up over him mostly, moving them a little over her too. ]

Do you think you can at least manage to stay up until midnight? We could see the new year together like this.

[Stay up?! Uuh....]

Mm.....nn..... mmmmaybe.

[...He's falling asleep already though. Ange might need to poke him to wake him up at times.]

[ Yeah, keeping a drunk guy up wouldn't be an easy task, huh.. although it's almost - even if she'd never admit it - strangely endearing to see Amakusa like this. Amakusa, who's always so busy with keeping up his joking and lying self, now as honest in front of her as a child.

It's why she can afford to let herself slip some more than usually too, burying a hand in his hair. ]

If you do, I'll give you a reward. Tomorrow. [ When he isn't drunk as shit. ]

[He hums a little at that, nodding slightly.]

What's the reward...? [he smirks at that, already knowing but he wants to hear it from her.]

[entreats]

[ .. Yeah, asking that earns him her normal pouty face. At least she lies down too now, next to him, drawing the blankets over her fully as well. ]

You know what I mean. Don't even pretend you don't.

[a chuckle escaped him, and when he felt her against him as she laid down he moved to bring an arm around her.]

Wake me when midnight hits.

[ Hmm.. it's nicer than she would like to admit. Even if she can smell his breath smelling a lot like alcohol, there's also just his usual smell, she remembers it from the many nights they've spent so close to each other. Somehow she's really just grown used to this, grown used to him.. ]

You're assuming I'd want to stay awake here next to you for that long. [ .. She totally would by now, since she likes this, but she presents it as a joke since she doesn't want to admit it. ]

[...So sorry Ange.

Amkausa felt so comfortable that he's already drifting off to sleep.]

[entreats]

[ Siiigh, fine. She'll deal with it. After all, she's not that tired at all since she's not drunk like him, so she just lies in his arms there, waiting. Then she can suddenly hear sounds from outside though.. what's that?

She slips out of his hold and puts her shoes back on to go take a look outside, leaving the room and then the house.. and then she can see the fireworks outside. Really, the Rulers messed with them all the time and then they do this..?

.. She's not even sure what to think.

But after a few moments she slips back into the room, shoving Amakusa a little to try and wake him up. ]

[slowly the man stirs from his slumber, and it was a deep sleep at that. he didn't really expect to fall this hard into sleep, but when he drinks and this is the result, it can't be helped.

he groans, not wanting to move, feeling so lazy and still slightly drunk. but with the girl shoving him and trying to get him awake, he does eventually open his eyes. he squints at her, rubbing his eyes before answering.]

What is it....

[entreats]

It's midnight. You told me to wake you up, remember?

[ Then again, he probably doesn't with how drunk he was.. Although if he's still too drunk now then she won't harass him and just let him go sleep again, but not like she can tell right off the bat. So instead she just sits there on the bed next to where he's lying. ]

Don't you hear the fireworks?

[he blinks a few more times, the feeling hitting him that he still really is drunk. he nods, yawning a little, his vision a little blurry but it's coming back to him. well, he did say to wake him up when the fireworks start so...

he moves to sit up, slowly, he grunts a little at the feeling of everything rushing around him suddenly.]

I'm up I'm up...

[he runs a hand through his hair, feeling those ears he has in the process, but then just moves to stand.]

Let's go watch them Ange-san.

[entreats]

.. Be careful. [ There, she'll at least show that much concern. With the way he sits up so slowly and makes that kind of sound she's sure he's still having difficulty even now, so she walks over to where he's standing on his side of the bed, staring at him for a moment, trying to see the look in his eyes.

Yeah.. he's still definitely drunk. But he's still bothering to get out for her, huh..

She's not entirely sure if he'll be able to walk straight all the way to the door. So in that case.. she thinks of it, but even then she has to hesitate for a moment or two since it seems so embarassing. But.. fine, if he's doing this much for her, then.. what! Hopefully he won't even remember it later when he isn't drunk anymore!

Ange grabs his arm, clinging to it a little - almost like a couple normally would. But she's just doing it to keep him steady, and she even looks away from him as she does it. ]

There, come on.

[hey hey, he might be drunk, but he's not completely down and out.

slowly he stands up with her, and with her arm around him he simply smirks, liking the touch of her against him like this.]

Have I really gotten that old I need you to help me like this? I'm sure I can walk, lady. But.... if you want to hold me then be my guest.

[entreats]

If you're going to keep talking like that, then I'll change my mind.

[ Even though she knows it's Amakusa which means he won't stop teasing her, but.. oh well. It's not like she dislikes this either, it's nice, but she's never going to admit it.

But she starts walking at least, not letting go. ]

[jeez this lady!! but it's just how she is. they continue to walk, going out of the house and eventually they reach the outside. he sees it now however, all the fireworks and such.]

Hmm... I always saw these in different countries every year. [he moves around way too much.]

[entreats]

[ The moment they're outside and just standing still rather than moving around, she lets go of him. Just a little bit, though, she doesn't fully let go but her grip definitely loosens a little. Especially since she's afraid of someone finding them like this.. ]

.. I guess that means the tradition has kept up for you this year. [ Not like he saw them here before. ] I wonder where you'll be seeing them next year..

[ Together with her, even then? Probably, right? So wherever he sees them is where she will see them too. ]

[hyahahacool]

[he pauses, looking up at the sky, and at least he's not feeling as dizzy or anything, sobering up a little.]

Well you know, wherever it is you'll be there to watch out I don't get too wasted, right?

[entreats]

Judging by this year, I'm not so sure if I'll be able to do a good job. [ He must have been drinking already before he came over.. it's not like Amakusa to get drunk that easily, after all.

At least she's genuinely smiling for once. He won't see it if he looks up like that, but still.. ]

Any idea where you want to see them yet? No way we're going to watch them twice in a row here, right?

[that smile, he sees it, even if he still feels a bit dizzy he can see her smiling and he quite enjoys it when she does manage to smile. she's so pretty after all, so beautiful and she's all his.]

Not yet, I don't like planned things after all, we can just play it by ear.

As long as it's not some sort of dump. [ But she knows Amakusa, not like he would like being stuck in a dump either - he's the type that likes money, after all. ] And as long as you don't let the Rulers get inbetween your plans.
