Who: Hibari and Mukuro
When: 16 Jan
Where: ALL OVER THE ISLAND.
What: FIGHTING. LOTS OF IT.
Warnings: Hibari and Mukuro in close proximity. And I guess fighting as well? Yeah. And blatant destruction. Blatant disregard for other people's safety. Everything, basically.
[ Hibari's feeling a little jittery on this fine day. Something which, in itself, wouldn't be (much) cause for alarm, but he's feeling jittery because he hasn't had a proper fight in so long (the zombies don't really count, obviously). Which is very much a cause for alarm when it comes to him. Besides, Mukuro had promised him his long-awaited fight almost a month ago, and he was getting impatient for it.
Thus, he does what any sane fight-deprived person would do - he breezes into Mukuro's room, giving no warning of his arrival, and flicks a ball of fire at the other's head. Only to get his attention, of course. Because he announces his intent a moment later, tone leaving no room for argument. ]

Fight me. Now.
DO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING? SINGING THE SONG OF MAFIA MEN
Tsk, how rude. [ The illusionist takes his time picking himself up off the floor and dusting himself down while the headboard smoulders. ] That's no way to ask for a duel.
[ Ah, but even so, he's picking up his trident from where it's leaning against the wall, inspecting the points carefully. ] I'll give you a second chance to ask me again. Nicely.
IT IS THE MUSIC OF THE MEN WHO WILL NOT BE DEFEATED AGAIN
You heard me the first time. I see no reason to repeat myself. [ Now he looks up and meets Mukuro's eyes, tucking his hands into his pockets as he straightens up. Bring it on, Mukuro. ]
WHEN THE BEATING OF THEIR HEARTS MATCHES THE FLOW OF BLOOD THEY SPILL
The forest, I think. Yes or no?
THERE IS A LIFE ABOUT TO END WHEN TOMORROW COMES
WILL YOU JOIN IN OUR BLOODSHED? WHO WILL BE VICTORIOUS AT THE END?
I used to like winter, [ he huffs, breath puffing out as white mist. As he rubs his arms, he feels the newly-gained scales from his journey through the door beneath his jacket. ]
BEYOND THE HATE, IS THERE A WAY TO BE FRIENDS?? (lolno)
THEN JOIN IN THE FIGHT THAT WILL DECIDE WHO WILL DIE OR LIIIIIIIIVE
In time they reach a secluded part of the forest which has ample space for them to begin their long-awaited fight. It's silent, as if even the animals are aware of the rivalry between the pair that goes as far back as their teenage years. Hibari has spent a decade nursing a grudge that will finally be allowed to properly flare into being here and now. Mukuro strides to one side of the clearing and performs a cursory warm-up, limbering his body so that he can give the other the best battle he can. ]
Do your best, [ he comments nonchalantly. ]
DO YOU HEAR THE WEAPONS SING? SINGING THE SONG OF MAFIA MEN
And without another word, moves. It's an impossibly fast movement - a blink-and-you-miss blur of violet and black - and he's already mere centimetres from Mukuro, a flaming tonfa moving in for the first strike. Do try and keep up, illusionist. It would be rather disappointing to kill you just that simply. ]
IT IS THE MUSIC OF TWO RIVALS WHO WILL NOT BE DEFEATED AGAIN
WHEN THE BEATING OF THEIR HEARTS ECHOES THE SPILLING OF THE BLOOD
Then he comes down with all the fury of
the godsten long years, a tonfa aimed for the spiky tuft of hair that Mukuro always seems so protective of. It's with such force that he pushes off from the bough that it's completely blown away - just a pale imitation of the destruction that is to be wreaked. ]THERE IS A LIFE ABOUT TO STOP WHEN TOMORROW COMES!
WILL YOU GIVE ALL THAT YOU CAN GIVE SO THAT OUR HATE MAY ADVANCE?
And he's not on the defensive for long, because his other tonfa comes in to attack Mukuro's side while the illusionist is busy fending off his frontal attack. ]
ONE WILL FALL AND ONE WILL LIVE, WHO WILL SURVIVE THIS BLOODY DANCE?
Without illusions of his own to use though, or any of his other skills, this fight will be much shorter than he likes. Even so, he persists in his attacks, revelling in the freedom of movement he now has out of the confines of heavy chains and stagnant water. ]
THE BLOOD OF THE ILLUSIONIST WILL WATER THE MEADOWS OF ARC!
That vicious little smirk on his face hasn't disappeared - if anything, it's grown wider, and it's all thanks to finally being able to fight against Mukuro without anyone to get in the way. He gets the feeling that Mukuro's pretty pleased about being able to do this as well, somehow. But, like all good things, this must eventually come to an end.
After a particularly heated exchange in which he tries his utmost best to cleave Mukuro's head from his shoulders (unsuccessfully, to his consternation), he takes a couple of quick steps back, still watching Mukuro as carefully as ever. He's got a couple of scrapes and bruises from where Mukuro had managed to slip past his defence, but likewise, the illusionist hasn't escaped unscathed, either. It's a challenge indeed, but it's not as fun as it could have been with Mukuro's Paths. A pity, really. ]
DO YOU HEAR THE DENIZENS FLEE? FLEEING FROM SCARY MAFIA MEN
The fight reaches a lull and Mukuro draws back, breathing hard and with numerous light burns and bruises decorating his pale skin courtesy of the Cloud. He's in a slightly worse condition than Hibari what with the ache of numerous hits from the tonfa beginning to take their toll on his body - his muscles are less inclined to move fluidly than they did at the start. But if he slows now, that will simply invite more damage.
He doesn't need to assess the situation to know that he will be the eventual loser. He came to that conclusion weeks back. All the same, he's enjoyed being able to get in some real exercise. ]
Tired? [ he asks tauntingly, subtly assessing the state of their surroundings as well as Hibari's condition. Maybe he can draw this out another minute or two. ]
IT IS THE MUSIC OF THE SEXUAL TENSION THAT WILL NOT BE DENIED AGAIN
You don't look too good, Rokudo. Sure you don't want to give up before I bite you to death? [ Well, would you look at that. Hibari used TAUNT! Of course, Mukuro being who he is, it's probably NOT VERY EFFECTIVE... Ah, but they should probably get this done soon. Which is why he drops into a stance and begins his attack again - Hibari darts forward, feints a low hit to the right with a tonfa, but at the last moment possible snaps his leg out and attempts to kick Mukuro straight into the tree behind him. ]
WHEN THE FALL OF FOREST TREES ECHOES THE THUD OF DISMEMBERED LIMBS
[ Laughing quietly (and tiredly), he rolls his shoulders back and works out some stiffness there. The movement is casual, like he's simply keeping the muscles warm. It's just as well he doesn't relax too much, because Hibari's kick comes at a speed that no normal human could hope to match. He manages to jilt out of the way in time to avoid becoming a pineapple pancake against the tree behind him, but the edge of Hibari's heel catches him on the hip and an explosion of pain erupts at the point of impact.
To stop moving and deal with the pain would mean his automatic defeat - Mukuro pushes himself back and uses the reach of his trident to his advantage, trying to keep the Cloud at bay whilst darting in to inflict more and more small wounds when he can. A minute passes in this fashion, and it's obvious the illusionist is starting to tire as he goes on the defensive more and more. It's all he can do to stay out of the way of Hibari's tonfa. It won't be too long before he makes a slip-up that his opponent will take full advantage of. ]
THERE IS A FIGHT ABOUT TO END WHEN MUKURO FALLS!
Eventually, he has Mukuro pinned against the wall - the trident lays some way away, having been smacked away by Hibari some time during that unending series of blows. And yes, literally pinned - Mukuro is being held up against the wall by sheer virtue of a tonfa against his neck, Hibari barely allowing the toes of his boots to touch the ground. Must be uncomfortable, but the skylark doesn't care - he's finally got Mukuro at his mercy, and a gleam of satisfaction in his eyes. ]
Now, [ he almost purrs, leaning in closer and moving his tonfa slightly so that he'll have access to Mukuro's neck, tilting his face to study the pale expanse of skin. ] I'm going to bite you to death.
[ Just like a carnivore, he goes straight for the neck. That's all the warning the illusionist gets before he fists his free hand in Mukuro's hair and yanks back roughly, baring that neck for him. Then he selects a point (the jugular vein) and bites down hard, holding on until he's sure that there's a nice set of teeth marks visible (he hopes they bleed, too). Then he pulls back, only to lean in again and bite down again at a different location, this time right over the furiously beating carotid artery - he even gives the bite mark a cursory lick afterwards, lapping up the salt of the skin before moving back, satisfied with the marks he'd left on the illusionist. ]
\o/!!! VIVE L'ILLUSIONNISTE
Gasping silently for air, he doesn't even register that his head is being tilted aside in preparation for the bite, instead blindly grasping at Hibari as the man closes in and sinks his teeth into his neck.
His eyes roll back until the whites show, pulse suddenly picking up to an incredibly frantic pace that he's not even aware of in his half-throttled state. It's not fear that is causing it. It's a far, far more simpler and yet less obvious cause than fear. The pain and the lack of air, combined with the life-threatening situation that the very nature of the bite conveys, stimulate the part of him that has gone wanting for a decade. Still wanting, in fact, since he has never been able to follow through with his advances on Gokudera since his recovery.
But Mukuro is wholly unaware of this kink. The choking sound he utters doesn't sound much different from the others before it, but the tone is slightly different to those with the ears to hear it. And when Hibari bites down again, his pulse again goes spiralling up uncontrollably, this time leaving some very physical evidence of the effect its had on him.
Too bad Hibari only has all of two seconds to realise and be amused by this. Because out of nowhere, minions converge on them from the edges of the destroyed forest, surrounding the pair, separating them, and carting them off to the dungeons. Neither are given any say in what happens - Mukuro is too busy struggling to draw breath to realise that his life has pretty much just been saved - and soon they're interred safely behind solid bars.
Oh well. At least they got to have their fight. 8| ]
goddamnit minions >( YOU GOT SAVED THIS TIME, ROKUDO.
He's unceremoniously dumped in the cell next to Mukuro - it's not really the first time he's been in jail, as of such (back home, he'd had somewhat of a tendency to get into these kinds of situations, though of course, he'd never stayed in a cell for more than an hour at most), so with a sigh, he settles down on the floor, idly dusting himself off. The fight hadn't reached a truly satisfying conclusion, but he supposes it's good enough that he'd gotten to bite Mukuro.
Speaking of which... ]
... I noticed your... [ he pauses here for a little bit, considering how to say it more diplomatically, then shrugs mentally and continues ] ... little.. condition. [ Another pause. ]
Was it really that stimulating? [ he doesn't even sound offended. Merely curious. Huh, maybe he is a little happier because of the fight. ]
KUFUFUFUFUFU >)
-don't, cough, know what, you mean... [ he rasps. Goddamn, his pants feel far too tight. If only they weren't in cells right next to each other then he could do something about it. Clawing the muzzle off so that it hangs around his neck instead, he shoots a glance at the Cloud. ] How could I find anything 'stimulating' about you biting me to death?
bites >(
Explain that, then.
kisses -3-
There is nothing to explain. Our fight was simply more enjoyable than I thought it would be.
[ Come on, don't tell him Hibari has never felt this way after intense sparring with someone? Somehow he is within arm's reach of the bars now. ]
..... BITES YOUR LIP >D
.. Did you poison your trident? [ Because normal wounds weren't supposed to burn like this. 8I ]
licks lip mmm
I may have smeared the tips with a fluid I harvested from one of the frogs in the forest.
[ His eyes return to stare at Hibari's arm, slowly travelling up to rest on the other's face. Yes, he did just lick his lips. Though he looks unaware that he did. ]
