Kresnik looked at the offered hand as he weighed his options. He can't stay in this bed forever... but his current appearance was just so ridiculous.

...After a few seconds, the soldier tried to get up on his own. However, he was obviously unbalanced from the unfamiliar shoes.

Francis didn't make any protests, nor did he move to help Kresnik stand. But, he did keep his arms at the ready, just in case the other man was unable to stay balanced. He'd hate to be responsible for allowing Kresnik to trip and fall.
