Who: Domon and Teddie.
When: The afternoon of September 15th.
Where: A seldom visited corner of one of the parks.
What: ~~A bear fight~~ Domon has offered to spar with Teddie to test how good of a fighter he is, and maybe teach the kid a thing or two.
Warnings: Shouldn't be any, just friendly sparring.

Had he really only been trapped here a month? It felt like it had been so much longer. Well, if he was stuck here, he was going to make good on his promises. So he sent a message to Teddie, telling him to come to this park if he still wanted to spar. So he stood there waiting, hoping the kid would show up. Even if Teddie wasn't at his skill level, he was getting a bit restless having no one to fight with.

Teddie definitely showed up, because he used to do these things with Souji and Yosuke, and you never know how it could help. He was a little scared, it wasn't like he was super strong, and he didn't really have a claw either. It was going to be a little complicated when it actually came to fighting, but he thought he could manage if he went through the usual motions. Teddie kind of wished he had his bear suit....

"Hi Domon!!" He said cheerfully, walking up to the other.

"Glad to see you made it."

He stepped back into a fighting stance, slowly so that it would not seem threatening. He could tell Teddie was nervous after all.

"Come at me whenever you're ready."

"Well, that's the thing. I'm not very good without my bear suit and claw." Teddie admitted honestly. He didn't like being as scared as he felt, but it was kind of hard to really do anything when you didn't have anything you were used to. Remembering how he bragged, he started to laugh a little nervously and loudly.

He chuckled. "That's alright. If you can acknowledge your limits, you'll be able to work past them and become stronger. And an over-reliance on weapons will always stop you from reaching your true potential. In a way, it's good those things aren't here."

I didn't know that!" Teddie said, looking surprised, "But then again, Chie-chan doesn't really use weapons...So what can you do?" He genuinely wanted to know, looking very inquisitive.

"What can I do? Heh, stand back." He started with speed punches, his fists moving so fast they were just blurs. He then moved into a series of punches and kicks, defending himself from invisible enemies that attacked from every direction. Although he never actually struck at anything, the power behind the blows was obvious. His speed and agility made the motions hard to follow, but no movement was wasted. By the time he returned to ready stance there was no doubting that he was a master.

"Now, what can you do?"

Teddie was obviously impressed. Looking at the other with a big grin, he started to use his own movements. While Teddie usually relied on his abilities with his persona, but he didn't have it here. His first attacks were mostly with his hand he usually had the claw on, but they were kind of awkward and obviously weak. He did his normal spin attacks and then looked a little sheepish.

"Not a whole lot, as you can see. I'm used to using my bearsona...."

Well, at least it looked like the kid would be decent if he had whatever weapon he was used to wielding. That wouldn't help him protect himself here though. And it looks like he was going to have to teach Teddie some of the basics too.

"First, don't throw your punches like that, you'll brake your hand. Focus all of the energy through only your first two knuckles. That way you have your entire arm to support your hand."

Teddie looked at his hand and frowned. Punching the air, he looked at the other for some kind of approval.

He takes Teddie's fist and guides a slight change in position. He'd found teaching by showing was a lot easier than teaching by telling.

"Now try it again. But this time snap your fist out, like it's a stone and your arm is a string. And always aim for just behind your target, so you don't hesitate and lose strength as your punch connects."

"Oh!" Teddie said, doing it again and concentrating a little bit harder this time. If one looked at the situation, it would be a little weird to see a boy dressed up as a girl and punching the air, but then again, weirder things went on around here.

After you've been turned into a werewolf, stuff like this didn't really seem that weird at all anymore.

"Good! Keep practicing like that, and your punches will get a lot stronger. Now, you need to know how to protect yourself."

He went on to show Teddie proper blocking techniques, and what blocks should be used in certain situations.

Teddie listened with intense attention, wanting to learn as much as he could. Without Souji around, it was hard for him to ask certain things because the other always kind of understood what he meant if he messed up. This stuff though, would be useful so he could protect people, which was the most important part of being here in a different world!

"Wow Domon, you're beary strong! How did you get so strong?"

"I started training while I was young. And since then, I've trained every day."

Teddie looked really impressed, almost sparkling at him as he asked more questions.

"So how come you trained so much?"

"I wanted to get stronger so I could protect the people I care about."

It's the simplified version, but that doesn't make it less true.

Teddie watches Domon for a moment. He could understand that, after all, that was his whole reason for getting stronger and how he ended up with a human body. Giving the other a huge smile, Teddie gave Domon a sudden, quick hug.

"I think that's the beary best reason in the world! Domon is the second strongest bear I know!!"

Domon was surprised by the hug, but he can't help but smile. Teddie had a long ways to go, but there was a lot of potential there. He actually reminded Domon of himself when he was younger. In return for the hug, he ruffled Teddie's hair.

"The second strongest?" He gives a teasing grin.

"Yep! My sensei is the super strongest bear." Teddie said with a laugh, looking up to the other now.

"Is that so?" Judging by the way Teddie was trying to fight at first he kind of doubts that. But he knows saying as much would only hurt Teddie's feelings, so he keeps up the teasing expression.

"Yeah! He was here for a little while, but then he went home. I think Domon would like him!" Teddie said happily, but looked a little down for a moment that Souji wasn't here.

[His smile changes to a more reassuring one.]

Don't worry. You'll see your friends again when we find a way home. Too bad I didn't get to meet him while he was here.

I'm sure he'll come back!" Teddie said happily, looking at the other, "Do you want me to practice to bearcome stronger!?"

"Yes. You'll need to practice a lot, and it won't be easy. But if you're serious about wanting to get stronger, it will happen before you know it."

Domon places a hand on Teddie's shoulder reassuringly to help boost his confidence.

"Teddie will get stronger then the strongest bear!!" Teddie said, grinning to Domon greatly.

"Good! As long as you believe in yourself, there is nothing that can hold you back."

"That's good advice! Domon is a lot like Sensei. Only Domon talks more." Teddie stated, smiling greatly.
