[open] What do you do with a drunken sailor?
Who: G and whoever
When: Teusday, September 20, early evening
Where: The pub
What: After Lapo leaving and Spade's arrival G's giving into his pirate instincts and just gets smashed.
Warnings: G being grumpier than usual... and drunk... also his vocabulary...
G had spent the past few days scouring the island looking for Lampo, and hunting down Spade to try to either find out what happened to Lampo or just beat him up to blow off some steam. Unfortunately, both goals ended in failure.
The whole thing left a sour taste in his mouth. Lampo went back to a ring that was going to eventually be destroyed, as had Giotto, and now Spade was here. He had no direction to move forward in, and every day just seemed to droll on in the same monotonous fashion. Ugetsu and Madoka had been a saving grace but he wasn't needed anywhere. He had nothing to do.
It was no different than being bound in the ring again, only in the ring he at least had a purpose.
Thus he had made his way to the pub to take a load off, and hopefully get himself drunk enough to forget the world existed for a while. Seemed like a good enough solution for now at any rate.

"G-san, I was beginning to get worried." He said, sitting down at the bar with the other, receiving a greeting from the girl behind it. He bowed to her politely, asking for a water to drink.

"I can handle m'self, thanks."

Then turned his attention back to Ugetsu again, "M'not goin' to hunt down Spade, f'that's what yer worried 'bout."
Not that he hadn't recently tried, but Ugetsu didn't need to know that. G took the new drink set in front of him and took a sip.

Asking for something a little heavier to drink, the girl produced something for him and he smiled, thanking her gently. She also gave him and G a smile before going off to speak to another patron.

"That's a lady's drink." He places his own in front of Ugetsu instead and orders himself another. "That's a man's drink."
At the very least it moved away from a conversation he wasn't in the mood for.

He heaved a sigh, and tipped the drink back again, finishing it. Blacking out wasn't coming as quickly as he wanted. He pushed the empty glass forward and looked at the bartender, "Gimme a 'nother."
no subject
"G-san, would you stop drinking so much, it can't be good for your body."

....ah, he had forgotten how amusing Ugetsu was after he threw back a few drinks. He smirks, "Oh, I'm stupid now?"

He snickers a bit, but ordered himself another drink at the mention of Lampo. The reason he came here after all was to try and forget the boy was gone.

“Tch, y’might as well th’way you putter around th’kitchen.” G went quite for a moment and took another sip of his drink. He was far from drunk enough to actually start talking about things like what was bothering him. Maybe with Giotto, but if Giotto were here then this wouldn’t have hit him so hard in the first place. He was supposed to act in Giotto’s stead as his right hand man. It was easy for a while. Watch over the family, try to avoid trouble that could get everyone hurt… then Spade came along. He knew Giotto would have willingly accepted the traitor as a friend again, which was something he just could never bring himself to do.
Then, he failed to keep watch over Lampo, and the boy disappeared. Gone to a ring that the Tenth Vongola family would break. He was afraid of what that would be like. Would it hurt? Would he be in pain and trapped in the ring without anything he could do about it?
G was failing his job here. The little bit of purpose he had to keep himself sane in this hellhole was breaking apart. He didn’t want to just have to keep existing in this drudgery day after day just to be someone’s plaything. At this point he almost felt that returning to a doomed ring was better than this. At least then he could do some good until they broke it.
Ugh, if that topic wasn’t the biggest buzz kill. G tipped back the rest of his drink before speaking again, his words now slurring together more.
“I came here t’get so drunk I ferget m’own name. You comin’ here n’getting giggly and tellin’ me all yer troubled wife tales was just lucky entertainment fer me.”

"Mm." That was all he was willing to say on the matter. It was annoying enough that Ugatsu had to bring it up the one time he was trying to make himself forget.
no subject
"Well, it's good, because we came from the rings. Our spirits will just return there."
no subject
But, out of respect for the other, he knew he needed to tell him. The fate that was laid before Giotto, and now Lampo, and even them if they ever returned. He turned to finally face Ugetsu.
“They’re goin’ to break th’rings Ugetsu.”
no subject
"Our spirits remain with the rings, the Vongola are stronger then that." He states forcefully, but looks immensely confused and upset.
no subject
He wasn't about to let the rain guardian just brush this off. He may not be at his best right now, but damn he was not up for having that taken so lightly. After a few moments of just breathing to try and keep himself calm he speaks again, his tone still harsh despite his slurs, "The Vongola's cloud guardian told me. Decimo ordered for th'rings t'be destroyed."
G sighed, now looked down and off to the side as he face forward again, and tipped back the last of his drink. He slammed the glass down and pushed it towards the bartender, though now he was beginning to sway.
"'Nother."

He heaved a tired sigh and slumped back into his chair, taking his new drink with him for another sip. He stared off at no particular spot on the wall in front of him.
"And I've done nothin' but fail mine since I got here."
He lost Giotto. He lost Lampo. He had gone against what he knew Giotto would have wished and attacked Spade. And he broke off all ties with the Tenth generation, and while he knew that could be fixed he couldn't simply forgive what they had done. In his mind they had killed not only Giotto's Vongola, but they killed Giotto's will... in essence Giotto's very soul... and the soul of his family.
"What do you think happens to us when the rings break? Y'think we just die? Or do y'think it hurts? Did Giotto and Lampo just go back so that they could spend the rest of th'rings existence in agony?"
He tipped back the rest of his drink, things were now getting very hazy and it felt good... to just feel his mind numbing and slowing down. It was getting difficult to think straight a welcome break.
no subject
"I suppose..." He started, with a pause again, "I do not believe they are. There are many strange things about this situation, G-san, but I firmly believe in the long run we are not destroyed."
Another pause before he smiles to the other.
"Even if you are frustrating, you have done the best in all situations here, and you are a very outstanding right hand."
no subject
He ordered yet another drink before addressing Ugetsu's last statement bitterly.
"Thas... bullshit." Ah, talking was becoming more of a challenge, but he could continue for now and hope to at least be somewhat understood, "I can't... act on Giotto's will... 'cos I can't... forgive th'bastard... fer what he did. N'the Decimo's family too, N' I liked that boy too... their storm... guardian. Why'd he even do somethin' like that?"
He let out a huff at he got his new drink, not sipping but rather just staring at it, "I dun even know... how t'act. I don' think... Giotto would make a move... with people at risk... but then we're jus' sittin' ducks..."

"Yer th'most optimisthtic drunk... I ever saw..." And as Ugetsu's 'reward' G places the remainder of his drink in front of Ugetsu for him to drink, "Liked ya better as th'naggin' housewife."
At the very least that seems to mean that G is done drinking himself.

He gave a little hiccup and after a bit of flailing with his arm, managed to grab onto Ugetsu's shoulder to steady himself as he tried to stand up mostly on his own... as he had severely underestimated just how very drunk he was. The moment he got both feet on the ground and lost support of the chair he nearly toppled to the floor if not for his grip on Ugetsu. Of course he caught onto him in an awkward position not unlike something out of a cliche romance scene.
"Either that er fall down on th'way home n'black out 'til t'morrow, when I wake up with th'hangover t'end all hangoverssss...." He grumped a bit, suddenly growing upset that Ugetu's height apparently made him the more masculine of the two in their current position, "Oi... th'hell am I th'damsel here, Cottontail?"
no subject
"Even so, it would be best to atleast attend to it slightly. Food is also the best remedy for alcohol." Ugetsu said, smiling patiently to the other.
no subject
Because he is convinced he is a manly man, and manly men don't accept help. They puke into buckets and embrace the full effects of their hangover with pride! Either that or G is just being a stubborn drunk who will regret this way of thinking tomorrow when his existence is reduced to a headache with legs.
no subject
"Either way, I would prefer you use the toliet when you do throw up, alright? It's much cleaner then a bucket." Ugetsu pointed out, helping G to the inside of the house.

Give him a moment...
...
...
Oh he made a pun.
...
let him mull it over some.
...
here it comes...
...
And some very mature snickering is a go. He's just the funniest sunnuva bitch around! Ugetsu should be honored to be in the presence of such a master comedian!

Memories they had brought were less than pleasant and some of them, less than new.
As it is, he'd found his way to another place he'd failed to find before.
With only his cane and his wits about him (for once), the almost hermit-like Renne finds the door to this pub, knocks -- reminds himself -- then trails inside.
"Hellow."
The almost funny part is that half the time he gives a call, he doesn't care that there's only a fifty percent chance of company.
S-sorry he's being such a big ball of hate and angst!! DX
He arrived in the pub with the sole purpose of getting plastered enough so that he could forget the world and everyone in it existed for a bit. After all, blacking out drunk was probably the most similar state he could get to the mild awareness of being in the ring.
