[EVENT] Boat Building Log

Who: France, Portugal, and YOU!
When: September 24th, all day
Where: North of the island, in various locations in the Rose District and the Docks
What: France and Portugal are implementing their boat plan into action. People help build a completed boat!
Warnings: Probably some mild language (either from hitting hands with hammers or minions stealing supplies).

(( ooc: All threads should be organized under the three threads below! You may lock threads as needed, or keep them open to everyone, it's up to you!

The Supply Gathering thread is for those characters who are going to be imagining up building supplies and nails and hammers and the like, in order to send them to the docks! You will be managed under Francis/France, who will be flitting from house to house to make sure people are summoning the right parts. When things start getting stolen, he'll also start summoning missing parts to try and make up for lost time.

The Building thread is for those characters who are going to be actually creating the boat on the docks! Occasionally, characters from the supply gathering camp will come and deliver things to you guys! You'll be managed under Afonso/Portugal, who will be making sure you're building according to his blueprints. Also be sure to look out for those pesky minions who will be stealing supplies and bogging down the boat-making process. Someone may have to start guarding the supplies, but you'll also have to hurry on the boat!

Lastly, the Provision Gathering thread is for after the boat is built. This is for helping summon weapons and food and storing it into the hold of the ship. These weapons can later be used in the fight against the minions later, but any guns will have a very limited ammo supply because the minions will catch everyone by surprise! Any actual fighting of the minions will be carried out in the log posted on the 4th of April.

France had been keeping himself quite busy the night and morning before, making sure everything tonight went off without a hitch. Thankfully, at midnight, many had shown up as he and Portugal had arranged. It was showing in his face that he hadn't slept at all, but he was keeping himself busy, marking off parts he'd already assigned to his helpers, going door to door in the rose district making sure everyone was staying on task, and more importantly, making sure everything stayed on schedule. They still had a fighting chance if things ran smoothly, and for all intents and purposes he was intending to keep it that way.

Despite attempts from those pesky supply-stealers that had held up the entire operation he'd tried so hard to keep together, they had finally completed the boat. However, Francis was not one to stop, not when they still had a chance of getting off the island without the Rulers intervening. So, Francis was working hard, imagining wheelbarrows full of swords and rifles, ammunition, and food, so that he could take them to the docks and stock the boat with them for later. He had a terrible feeling that, somehow, they were going to need it.

So here comes Prussia to report for duty on imagining up the various items necessary to build a boat. Of course he was going to help with this as his Navy had been virtually non-existent so he really had no talent for ship building.

"Can I imagine the sails up?!" he wondered as he came over to France.

"Non, non, I have some of the others on the sails, already. You are stronger. I need you to carry the heavier parts." Francis was glad Prussia was being so enthusiastic about everything, but it was difficult when he had everything so perfectly timed. "Would you mind taking the foremasts, though? We need a few more of those still."

Howl is finding it difficult to envision the right parts for this ship that they're building. The ones he's familiar with are the huge, metal battleships that have recently graced their harbours, and the only wooden ones (which is what France seems to have in mind?) that he's seen are toy models - hardly a good thing to go on for something that's meant to be seaworthy.

So there may be scraps of metal appearing instead of wood, if someone doesn't come and correct him soon.

He looks disappointed for a moment. Sails were not only the only part he actually knew when it came to boats, but he could have made such awesome sails, complete with a little bird pattern.

"Ja, foremasts," he agreed, a little reluctantly. Never mind that he didn't know what a foremast was. Was that the piece that held up the sail? Or was it the long piece that stuck out in front?

Well.... this was a first.

He never thought he'd ever have to actually help with this kind of thing, building a boat. It was all to get away from a place he's been stranded at with several other people. That's definitely the kind of thing you find in stories. Amakusa has a couple nails in his mouth, and he's using the hammer in his hand to beat the nails into the wood, making sure he's following the blueprints accordingly, actually listening to authority for once.

Ange.. wasn't much help with building itself, really. She had mostly been helping with getting material, since she was pretty helpful with that, but she was neither particularly strong nor really handy with building things (as expected of the daughter of a rich family) so she was more just watching during this point of the building process.

After all, it was only normal for a bodyguard and client to stick together at all times, if not just most of the time, right? So there was nothing weird about her sitting on the docks for a while as she watched him work. It was actually pretty funny almost to see him following orders for once, considering Ange more than anyone knows what he's actually like.

"I don't think I've ever seen you work this hard, Amakusa."

Amakusa took the nails out of his mouth, putting them down for a second. He looked over at her with that usual smirk on his face. Damn, he was helping out an she was just sitting there? He almost wanted to say something, but he should know better than to expect some heavy lifting from miss priss herself.

He takes off his hat, reaching up and wiping his forehead with the back of his hand, "yeah I haven't worked this hard in forever. Even being on the battlefield is more of a breeze than this. Physical labor like this just isn't my thing... can't I slack off a little? Maybe you can get me something to drink?"

Hey, she had at least contributed something so far. And she would probably go and help out with getting more supplies in a bit, since.. this is something important. Even if there's still something unsure about it, this is the way they can get off the island, so the sooner it's ready, the better. It was just funny to sit here for a moment too and watch him work for once as well while resting.

"Definitely no slacking off allowed this time." Ange was idly trying to dip her feet in the water a little as she spoke, even if summer was already gone and autumn was starting to set in. "If you're good enough, I might consider getting you a drink, so.. work hard, okay?" Hey, this was just payback for all those times he had been teasing her. It was only fair.

Amakusa looks down at her, and he just sighs and shakes his head, that smile still on his face. He shrugs lazily at her words before he puts those nails back in his mouth, positioning another one before he starts to hammer it into the wood.

"I'm being told what to do by such a little lady.... I can't believe this, I'm totally < uncool > now," and he hammers away still.

"Do I at least get a kiss after this is done? Y'know, I need some incentive to keep going~!"

Teddie walked up to him and looked at all the weapons, frowning. He didn't want to disturb him, but he felt really awkward about helping. He didn't know how to build a boat, and he couldn't really lift all those heavy things without his bear suit to help him feel a little more secure.

"Do you want me to imagine up stuff too, so you don't have to work so beary hard?" Teddie finally said, looking up to him

Shouichi felt really awkward, more so then usual. He often kept to himself so much he was never sure what to do when it came to things like this. But he wanted to get back home, mostly because he wanted to see where Byakuran went, and because he was feeling a little lonely. He didn't know many people here, and he was a little too shy to try.

Looking around, he walked until he could find someone to ask what he needed to do. Shouichi could at least get his way around tools.

Katniss wasn't sure how to build a boat, but she at least knew that they were made from wood. Noticing the other, she walked up to him and sighed. He was a little hopeless sometimes, wasn't he.

"Howl, why don't we take these metal pieces out and find some wood?" She said, kind of smiling. She had to admit, he kind of reminded her of Finnick...

Ugetsu has taken to gathering all the food he can, putting it in crates and separating it. He has his hair pulled back and the bunny ears are flopped down around his face, as he works. Hopefully this would work, but he had to wonder how they would go back to their world from this boat. Would it honestly take them far enough for them to kind of disappear back to their own world?

He was thinking hard, because he was starting to put in some vegetables with the fruit.

Sheepishly, he looks between the pieces of useless metal that he's imagined up and compares it to the pieces others have brought up.

"Do you know what Francis has in mind? I'm not sure I've seen anything like what he's intending to build."

Sora wasn't used to imagining things and suddenly they appear out of thin air. So thinking of certain boat parts was a little out there for her. However, she was able to get some sturdy nails and tools out of the process.

At least she's trying.

Teddie was trying very hard to get the supplies over to the boat to get them ready for building. He wasn't sure how to work tools, but he could at least help out the best he could. It wasn't good for a bear to just sit around and not help. He would make sure to work hard, even if some of this stuff was a little heavy for him. Plus, he wanted to get home to Nanako and Souji...

[ Usagi knows about her own clumsiness, but she's determined to at least overcome it for this. The whole thing with the boat sounded pretty important, and it was important if it would really get everyone off the island.. in that case it's definitely something she has to help out with, hence why she finds herself by the docks to help out as well.

When she spots a familiar face though, she's easily distracted by that. ]

Teddie..! Hi!

While the sails were important, having the mast and the yards was going to be more important, as they held the sails. Without those, the sails would never go up.

Francis got the blueprints of the ship out, and motioned to the top of the mast. Seeing as the mast had to be so large, they had to have it brought in sections, and clamped together with metal fasteners.

So France also imagined a small, almost toy boat version of the ship he had in mind, in order to show the part he had in mind for Prussia to summon on the little toy ship. "The foremast, that is what you will need to bring. Otherwise we cannot attach the rest."

Yup, totally uncool. But all of this was still amusing to her, and.. somewhat nice, almost, either way. It was like she was almost normal while she was sitting here watching her boyfriend work.. As if normally he wasn't her bodyguard and they weren't chased by yakuza all over the place. As if they were almost normal, despite the weirdness of this place as well.

But of course he had to bring up kissing again, which made Ange look around them very quickly to make sure nobody else was really nearby at this particular moment. The last thing she wanted was for everyone to find out about their relationship at this moment, so she just glared at him for a moment and attempted to hush him. At least it seemed safe enough, though, so the glare faded only slightly.

"Do you really think you'll get one that easily?"

Normal? The two of them? That was practically impossible, and he knew that. Even though he had a feeling she just wanted to be some normal girl- something always happened when the two of them were around one another. In a sense, Amakusa enjoyed such a thing, he liked to have new things happen- unpredictable situations were the most interesting.

It was probably why he was so attracted to her, she wasn't just a normal girl.

"I could steal one too you know...." and he continued to hammer away.
