[EVENT] Boat Building Log

Who: France, Portugal, and YOU!
When: September 24th, all day
Where: North of the island, in various locations in the Rose District and the Docks
What: France and Portugal are implementing their boat plan into action. People help build a completed boat!
Warnings: Probably some mild language (either from hitting hands with hammers or minions stealing supplies).

(( ooc: All threads should be organized under the three threads below! You may lock threads as needed, or keep them open to everyone, it's up to you!

The Supply Gathering thread is for those characters who are going to be imagining up building supplies and nails and hammers and the like, in order to send them to the docks! You will be managed under Francis/France, who will be flitting from house to house to make sure people are summoning the right parts. When things start getting stolen, he'll also start summoning missing parts to try and make up for lost time.

The Building thread is for those characters who are going to be actually creating the boat on the docks! Occasionally, characters from the supply gathering camp will come and deliver things to you guys! You'll be managed under Afonso/Portugal, who will be making sure you're building according to his blueprints. Also be sure to look out for those pesky minions who will be stealing supplies and bogging down the boat-making process. Someone may have to start guarding the supplies, but you'll also have to hurry on the boat!

Lastly, the Provision Gathering thread is for after the boat is built. This is for helping summon weapons and food and storing it into the hold of the ship. These weapons can later be used in the fight against the minions later, but any guns will have a very limited ammo supply because the minions will catch everyone by surprise! Any actual fighting of the minions will be carried out in the log posted on the 4th of April.

"As if." She didn't even look at him when she said that much, instead staring out over the docks. In the distance a few other people were working on a piece of the boat too.. Would they really be able to get away from this place after all this time now? She wasn't sure, but..

"I'm sitting over here, and you're standing there." She just said it very matter-of-factly. "By the time you get over here, I'll be long gone. No way you can steal a kiss from me."

....Was that a challenge? Did Amakusa just hear a challenge? Why, he definitely did. Amakusa set down the hammer and nails, and jumped off of the platform he was on, and on to the docks, stalking closer to Ange.

"Oho! Now I'm over here and you're still there!" YOU WON'T WIN!

WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT, AMAKUSA.. considering the fact that Ange was starting to stand up as well now. Sure, what she was about to do was ridiculous, but anything was fair game when it came down to these kinds of near teasing competitions with this guy. Still, she managed to keep her expression deadpan at the very least.

"Really, am I?"

And with a slight shrug she started running in the opposite direction across the docks - away from him, that is.

...Is this really happening?

Ah- this was really similar.... to that time before. Wasn't he running from her because he wanted to investigate but she wouldn't let him do it alone? He smirks and then takes off after her as well! She's damn fast though!

"Lady you're being childish, hyahaha! Stop being so < uncool >!" he just really wants to tease her, that's about it.

Of course Ange was rather fast, she had gotten a lot of practice back home with running from Sumaderas by herself at first - and with trying to hide from the bullies in school too. Not that Amakusa wasn't a good chaser, he had been trained for stuff like this, after all. But Ange's stubbornness combined with her running abilities was enough to at least keep herself ahead of the guy. She definitely didn't plan on losing this little.. whatever it was of theirs.

"Says the guy who's running after me just as fast, right?" Yeah, she knew she was being childish, but.. both of them were in this moment, really. Ange was at least keeping out of the way of other people as she ran, the last thing she needed was for a lot of other people to notice this too and start thinking things.

He briefly wondered what people would even say when they saw this- some older guy, who is supposedly her bodyguard, literally chasing her around the docks. Well, he figured he would get more comments about how much of a creep he was...

Oh well.

Amakusa figured he'd give her a couple more moments to think she's faster than him and then- he just moves quicker than before, able to sprint faster and he's GAINING REALLY FAST ANGE OH NO.

"Hyaha! Yeah but I need to catch my client- this is just like when you ran from those guys and jumped a staircase!"

Oh god, oh man, he was coming closer.. She knew he was more skilled than her at this, but she figured she would at least be able to keep ahead for a little more..!! So Ange just tried to run faster and faster, anything to stay out of his reach for now.

"Oh, so if you catch me, you're going to do something horrible to me too?" Yeah, like kissing her, that would definitely be the end of her if it was in public..!! If she could at least run somewhere more secluded, that would already help a lot. Besides, this was different from running from those bodyguards either way. They were running for another person's cause, but.. Amakusa was only in it for himself, so of course he was more motivated and she knew it.

For a moment she nearly tripped over an uneven piece of ground, but she managed to make it through okay, quickly running on.

Horrible? Hm- it could have been like back in their world, like how he was supposed to be the one to kill her, and he screwed up his orders and refused to do such a thing. He's always cared for her, but he would have killed her in order to get the money he wanted.

At least, it used to be like that.

Fine, new tactic. Amakusa quickly skidded to a halt- and then he jumped behind a pile of lumber, completely hiding himself from her. If she wanted to run away from him, so be it. She would turn around and look like she was all alone. OOOHH CAN YOU TAKE IT LADY? He figured she couldn't.

Ange didn't even notice at first, really - she was still just running on for a bit until she realised she didn't hear the sound of footsteps behind her anymore. So slowly she turned her head around, staring behind her and.. he wasn't there anymore?

With a curious glance she looked from left to right, but nope, he was gone. Geez, there was no way he could have given up that easily and gone back, right?

Yup, Ange was actually not running anymore now, she was actually walking back to go look for him.. This would be the time for Amakusa to grab his chance!!

You know what, no. He's going to stay behind here, and make her worry even more about where he went.

If she walks closer to him though, he'll definitely come out and get her. And by that he mean, he'll probably just pick her up bridal style and embarass her even more.

It wasn't like she was worrying!! She was just.. curious, that was all. Yes, of course she would be curious if he suddenly vanished right behind her, it was only natural, geez..

But still, she wasn't on to his plan at all. Even if part of her might have realised he was hiding, it didn't quite connect with the part of her brain that hold her he would embarass her, so she was - without knowing it - walking closer and closer to where Amakusa was hiding..

Sorry Amakusa, the minions have taken your tools and you'll have to start imagining them up again! The appear before you and Ange, taking the tools with a grin and a giggle, then promptly disappearing.

Oh seriously?!

Amakusa turns to see them popping up, going over and taking the tools he was working with. Quickly, he stands up- and his first reaction is to reach for his gun... ah, not there. He really wished he had it.

In an instant he's by Ange's side though, in front of her and his back to her as he watches the minions giggle.... and then disappear. He watches the spot where they just were, grimacing.

He knew it, he was too good to be true. He had his doubts that this would go flawlessly and it was just proven. He continues to stare ahead, remaining quiet for a moment before he straightens up and turns back to Ange, a smile returning to his face.

"...They took my tools. Too bad, I liked that hammer."

What-- by the time Ange realised what was going on, Amakusa was practically already in front of her and she could only hear the giggles before they faded away. The thoughts about what she and Amakusa had just been doing completely disappeared from her mind as well as she just stared at the man's back blankly. Those had been.. creatures from this island, right? The ones working together with the rulers?

So they were already trying to stop them like this, huh? Then again, this was barely more than teasing, they could easily get a new hammer. But why weren't the rulers stopping them more than this then, why weren't they punishing them the way they did before?

Despite the fact that Amakusa was smiling when he turned to her again, Ange only frowned.

"I thought they'd do more than just that." And she figured Amakusa had thought the same, otherwise he wouldn't have moved towards her instead of trying to regain the tools.

He sees that frown and he knows that she's thinking of others things as well. Dammit, he hopes she isn't about to go looking for trouble now.... even if he wants to go investigate, he can't just yet since she's here.

He shrugs and walks back over to the docks.

"You worry too much lady, obviously they just wanted to mess around a bit," he makes it sound like he's not worried- but he's still thinking this over.

"....Even so, they know all about us now," he muttered more to himself.

She could hear that mutter since she was already starting to take after him, and she knew he wasn't taking it entirely as casually as he always pretended to. Normally she would have waited a bit longer, but somehow those minions appearing for a moment was like a wake up call, reinstating the idea that there truly was danger here, that something could still happen any moment. And despite the way she usually acted towards him, she really wanted to at least be by his side if something did happen - not for protection per se, but just so she wouldn't lose him.

"And are you sure it'll remain at 'messing around' now they know what all of us planned? I don't trust any of it." Ange put her hands on her hips. Yes, he knew her well, she was nearly at the point where she would just go and look for trouble, really.

...Hey, he never trusted it from the beginning, but he said he would help out because she wanted him to. He knew something like this wouldn't work, and even with France telling him they could do it if they imagined tools and the like over days- he still had a feeling they would find out. They knew everything that happened here after all.

But he's just walking back over to the boat now, "can't do anything about it now lady, better just keep going and keep an eye out for more of them," and he would be watching closely for anymore, since he knew this wasn't over- the rulers were going to do something else, but he kept that to himself.

Ange just nodded in return - for once she was being at least a little bit obedient? Mostly since she couldn't figure out what to do about the situation just yet, considering the minions had just.. disappeared. If they had run away or something of the like she would just have chased after them without even thinking, but there was no way to trace them now. There was nothing to do except overthink the fact their plan had been found out.

"... Fine. You work, I'll keep an eye out. Sounds like a deal, right?"

It was weird to be honest- to see Ange being a little more obedient about this. He actually stopped walking and turned to look at her.

"Lady, you're actually following orders for once- I think you've really changed. Maybe we should throw a party after this, it would be to congratulate you on that."

Amakusa you jerk.

Yeah, being a jerk was something he would definitely never get away with, not even at a moment like this. Hence why Ange's worried frown turned more into her deadpan semi-glare as she still frowned at him, walking ahead of him as she passed him.

"We can throw a party once you actually have worked hard enough to get something done on this boat, Amakusa."

He's just smiling behind her, lalalala pissing off Ange is so much fun~!

"Oh! Does this mean you'll drink with me at the pub? Do I get to see what lady looks like when she's hammered?"

...Ohhh the very thought just made his grin grow even more.

Oh no, he shouldn't go there! But yes, he was definitely getting into the pissing off territory now, so she didn't even look over her shoulder to see him as she walked on. Stupid man, stupid bodyguard, stupid boyfriend..

"No way. I'm not going to drink even a single drip of alcohol as long as I'm here. Let alone having to trust you to take care of me if I would get drunk."

He bursts into laughter at that- and he's grateful he's talented in the art of getting her distracted. He just has to put on that charm of his and act like that goofy version of himself to get her to stop worrying about other things.

"Hyahaha! But lady, I would be good- honest! I'd take care of you, definitely~! ....And if you wanted to go further then of course I couldn't say no."

That last part-- Ange is slowly starting to consider the option of just throwing one of the hammers around here at his head or something, maybe a concussion will cause him to make sense and act normally for once, but.. no, it's a good thing Ange isn't exactly overly violent, so she's just trying to get her own sense of being flustered under control here as she answers him, still deterined to at least not face him.

"See? That's exactly why I don't want to be drunk around you. Idiot."

And they're back at the boat, or at least what he's supposed to be putting together for the boat. And he looks all around and yeah, the damn minions took it all. He shakes his head and looks back at her.

"Oh come on! It wouldn't be so bad with me, would it? Hyahaha! Maybe on our one year anniversary....."
