[EVENT] Boat Building Log

Who: France, Portugal, and YOU!
When: September 24th, all day
Where: North of the island, in various locations in the Rose District and the Docks
What: France and Portugal are implementing their boat plan into action. People help build a completed boat!
Warnings: Probably some mild language (either from hitting hands with hammers or minions stealing supplies).

(( ooc: All threads should be organized under the three threads below! You may lock threads as needed, or keep them open to everyone, it's up to you!

The Supply Gathering thread is for those characters who are going to be imagining up building supplies and nails and hammers and the like, in order to send them to the docks! You will be managed under Francis/France, who will be flitting from house to house to make sure people are summoning the right parts. When things start getting stolen, he'll also start summoning missing parts to try and make up for lost time.

The Building thread is for those characters who are going to be actually creating the boat on the docks! Occasionally, characters from the supply gathering camp will come and deliver things to you guys! You'll be managed under Afonso/Portugal, who will be making sure you're building according to his blueprints. Also be sure to look out for those pesky minions who will be stealing supplies and bogging down the boat-making process. Someone may have to start guarding the supplies, but you'll also have to hurry on the boat!

Lastly, the Provision Gathering thread is for after the boat is built. This is for helping summon weapons and food and storing it into the hold of the ship. These weapons can later be used in the fight against the minions later, but any guns will have a very limited ammo supply because the minions will catch everyone by surprise! Any actual fighting of the minions will be carried out in the log posted on the 4th of April.

America doesn't quite catch any of that internal contemplating Shouichi did, so he continues talking. "Dude, your timing's perfect! Here, I need someone handing me stuff so I don't have to stoop down every time I gotta grab something!" He picks up a heavy toolbox and holds it out for Shouichi to take.

Shouichi looked at the tool box, takes it, and immediately shows how very not-strong he is. Holding it on his side with two arms, he groaned, trying to carry it for the other. How did he lift it up so easily?

America notices the poor kid struggling. Oh man, maybe he didn't stop to think how heavy it really was. He scratches the back of his head as laughs lightly and takes the box back (with one hand even), then places it on the ground right next to where he is working.

"Here, dude, just take out the nails in there and pass 'em to me! Saves me way more trouble than holding 'em in my mouth, ha ha ha! Man, I miss my power tools; I could've finished this way faster, but guess I should've imagined up some kinda generator." America rambles while turning back to the hull. "So, what're you gonna do once you get back home, huh?"

"Well, currently I am trying to assist with discovering a way to pick apart a hybrid of weapon technology and illusionary realism." Shouichi said, handing him the nails, "As well as taking care of my best friend."

America stops hammering for a second to stare at Shouichi then smiles brightly for him. "Ooh man, if you ever get that working, you gotta invite me over to see it, okay? I'll be in Japan on the first flight over!" He goes back to hammering but keeps talking.

"Y'know, I thought about making something like that once! Well, kinda... Actually I was throwin' together a bunch of stuff and seeing what works! That's how some of the best inventions pop up, right? And if nothing really happens, I just turn the whole thing into one of those Rube Goldberg machines to flip my coffee machine on or something! I swear, somebody's gonna get a kick out of 'em, so it's not a total waste! Here, hand me a bigger nail, wouldya?" He reaches out towards Shouichi.

"Well, are we from the same time though? What era do you come from?" Shouichi inquired, helping the other with the bigger nails and expertly starting to work with hammering things together like this was no problem for him. This was easier then building a robot, that was for sure.

"That's true. I find the best invention happens when you aren't thinking too hard about it."

America pauses in his hammering for a second. Oops, that's possible that Shouichi isn't from his time! He had been so concerned about England and Prussia from being in the past that he forgot anyone else could be from any moment in time too! He quickly puts together what he remembers of Shouichi. The kid had talked about some pretty modern stuff so it wasn't like he was from the stone age or anything. America decides he can relax about it.

"Heh, believe it or not, I'm from the beginning of the 21st century! Don't let these duds fool ya!" He thumbs at his vest. "We don't have crazy-big robots like this other guy has in his time, but technology grows pretty fast! What about you, Shou?" He starts hammering on the next nail.
