Suddenly, you’ve been pulled by your new flying abilities and deposited so kindly on the deck of the ship. Around you are hundreds of zombies and it seems like you’re in for a fight. When you look starboard, you notice weapons lying around that have some short of a strange glow. May as well grab them and fight, right? Team up and beat those ghosties!!

No, I do not. That is why I am running until I can find a proper time and place to counter-attack.

[It embarrasses her to say that. If she had at least her normal body, she would have charged without a second thought.]

[She backs away from a zombie's attack and sidesteps another zombie grabbing at her. She needs to find a weapon, and quickly.]

Boring. [ He stomps on the zombie's head when it continues to struggle to crawl forward, yanking a dagger out of its sheath - it's not hard to hack his way back over to her side, presenting her with light sword he'd picked up on the way.

It should be small enough for her to handle easily, and sturdy enough to parry any blows from the zombies - honestly, he can't say why he's actually working with other people instead of ignoring them and leaving them to their own fates, but here he is. ]

Look to your front. My prey is behind you. [ and off he goes again, a tiny whirlwind of hacking and slashing. Best take his advice and attack while he's covering your back, Bazett! ]

[She nods and quickly, silently, starts hacking at the closest zombie in front of her with the sword. Once she has finished with him, she turns to see if the boy is in need of any assistance.]

[ Apparently, he's just fine with setting the zombies on fire and kicking them overboard. It doesn't look like he's tiring at all, something that's probably surprising for someone as small as him, and soon enough, the immediate area around the two of them is clear of undead.

He heaves a sigh and kicks a dismembered arm overboard to join the rest of the bodies - his flaming hand transforms back into flesh and blood, before he turns back to Bazett, tilting his head. ]

It seems that you have some teeth after all, [ he remarks. It sounds pretty odd coming from someone like him, but you can take it as a compliment. ]

[She hacks at another pirate before answering.]

I would have shown you something more impressive if I had any of my powers back.

Oh? Are you a user of magic? [he sounds completely unruffled by this (even while he's darting about and cutting legs off), because hey, they were surrounded by magic. He knows magic users. It wouldn't be much of a stretch to guess that this girl (in her original form) was a mage of some sort. ]

Yes, I am.

[She kicks at a pirate to send him to his knees, and then puts the sword through his neck.]

Combat-oriented magic.

Interesting. [ That actually sounds useful, and he watches her butcher the pirate with a curious little smirk on his lips. Perhaps this island is good for something after all, if he gets to meet fascinating people. Come to think of it, he doesn't even know her name. ]

Hibari Kyouya. [ He at least nods to her, as much an acknowledgement as it is a farewell, before he whirls off to the other end of the ship, apparently bent on stealing the kills of another dark haired boy who is hacking and slashing his own way through the zombies quite successfully. It's probably wise to ignore those two for now, really. ]
